ChrisM Posted July 27, 2015 at 05:54 PM Report Share Posted July 27, 2015 at 05:54 PM (edited) I wanted to darken the appearance of my 13' FFET so I installed;Lamin-X - gun smoke shade on the outer taillight ring, rear reflectors, 3rd bake light, side mirror turn signals and charge port. I used the tint (lightest) shade on the inner tail light section and headlights.I dipped the inner grill. I have black vinyl overlays for the emblems. I made a custom my sync quad wallpaper. chancelperry Posted June 19, 2016 at 02:19 AM Report Share Posted June 19, 2016 at 02:19 AM I installed OEM dual exhaust diffuser, bezel ports and valance. 19" OEM wheels on the way! This is great! Where did you get the OEM dual exhaust and any modifications required?
ChrisM Posted June 20, 2016 at 05:33 PM Author Report Share Posted June 20, 2016 at 05:33 PM I bought the OEM dual diffuser/valance and bezels from eBay. I cut the tip of the exhaust pipe off. The used diffuser had a broken clip tab, so I screwed the diffuser tab to the valance tab slot.
chancelperry Posted June 21, 2016 at 01:07 AM Report Share Posted June 21, 2016 at 01:07 AM (edited) Do you have links to both parts so I can see what you are talking about? And they're just interchangeable? Edited June 21, 2016 at 01:07 AM by chancelperry
Platinum15Ti Posted June 21, 2016 at 01:30 AM Report Share Posted June 21, 2016 at 01:30 AM Looks great.. I wondered if that would fit. ChrisM Posted June 21, 2016 at 12:52 PM Author Report Share Posted June 21, 2016 at 12:52 PM Platinum15Ti, the link you cited would work. Chancelperry, yes you still need the valance which attaches to the diffuser. The OEM parts are interchangeable and fit like a glove. I had been looking to converting for about 6 months. The easiest way is to order the parts online from partsgeek.com they have the best prices I was able to find. Parts would come primed and need to be painted. The hardest way would be to get savage parts, they are a lot of totaled FFTi for sale, but who wants a junk car to pull parts from? I couldn't find savage parts locally or from yards I could find online. Below are the links to the items I purchased. Diffuser with valance (good for being used but not perfect);http://m.ebay.com/itm/191854691050?NAV=HOME Bezel tips;http://m.ebay.com/itm/311607256154?NAV=HOME Hope this helps! ChrisM Posted June 22, 2016 at 09:19 PM Author Report Share Posted June 22, 2016 at 09:19 PM The eBay item came with both the valance and the diffuser, I was lucky.

Energized Posted July 1, 2016 at 10:16 PM Report Share Posted July 1, 2016 at 10:16 PM Great looking mods. Especially like the rear valence. Do you have any photos of it it torn apart, before you put the new valence on?
ChrisM Posted July 6, 2016 at 12:49 PM Author Report Share Posted July 6, 2016 at 12:49 PM (edited) Thank you! I didn't think to take any with the rear bumper cover off. They are a couple of 'ford fusion rear bumper cover removal' videos on YouTube. Edited July 6, 2016 at 12:49 PM by ChrisM
LemonCove Posted September 9, 2016 at 12:44 AM Report Share Posted September 9, 2016 at 12:44 AM Nothing really new here, just a variation on things. I removed badging and chrome trim, highlighted the "Energi"drivetrain . . . that's what makes this car different. Grille-Rather than plasti-dip the exisiting grille, I pulled off the chrome strips . . . . it's easy, just pull gently working from one side to the other (this is reversible): I then painted the black plastic with gloss black to match the lower grille;Next I added an "Energi" badge to the painted grille (bought off Ebay used for $14) using 3M double sided trim tape . . . i had to remove one "tab" on the grille where I mounted the badge: I removed all the "Fusion" and "Titanium" badging . . . . just too much (I used dental floss, then cleaned up with bug remover and polish). I left the "Energi" badging. Looks cleaner. Thanks to folks for the inspiration! Khnum
