Neil Posted July 17, 2015 at 06:52 PM Report Share Posted July 17, 2015 at 06:52 PM I just had my Energi into the dealer for an oil change and a couple of recalls. I noticed a couple of odd things since the service. 1) The Lifetime regen miles was reset to zero. The 'Total EV Miles' is still correct though. I didn;t think that was an adjustable number, kind of like the odometer. 2) EV+ mode was reset to 'off'. That got me thinking; why would you not use EV+. Is it potentially bad for the battery because it allows you to drain it deeper?
jeff_h Posted July 17, 2015 at 06:56 PM Report Share Posted July 17, 2015 at 06:56 PM The EV+ is system generated based on most frequent stopping locations, and the car learns the locations over time. The software update wipes those out (along wth the lifetime regen), but the EV+ locations will be remembered again after a few trips. Is it potentially bad for the battery because it allows you to drain it deeper? I've never used it because my round trip is 9 or 10 miles so the engine never comes on. shaggy314 Posted August 4, 2015 at 11:04 PM Report Share Posted August 4, 2015 at 11:04 PM (edited) My EV+ gets reset when in for service... they do SOMETHING and then charge it. It takes 2-3 days and she again remember home and work. It's funny as I drive past the dealership on the freeway and see the EV+ pop up for a few seconds. I guess she misses them.
