isaaktnt Posted July 13, 2015 at 07:53 PM Report Share Posted July 13, 2015 at 07:53 PM On my other cars there is a display to show the tires pressures for each of tires on the screen. I can't seem to find that on the car and in the manual. All I get is the generic low tire pressure symbol. It will help to know which one instead of checking. Thanks. meyersnole Posted July 13, 2015 at 08:12 PM Report Share Posted July 13, 2015 at 08:12 PM (edited) At least on the 2013 model it only gives the generic message. Something I miss from my previous car. It also will let the tire pressure drop pretty significantly before signalling low pressure. Probably a good idea to check your tires manually from time to time. From the manual: Low Tire Pressure WarningIt will illuminate when your tirepressure is low. If the lampremains on with the enginerunning or when driving, checkyour tire pressure as soon as possible. It will also illuminate momentarily whenyou switch the ignition on to confirm thelamp is functional. If it does not illuminatewhen you switch the ignition on, or beginsto flash at any time, have the systemchecked by your authorized dealer. You can get the exact information from an OBD reader as discussed here: http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/3102-obd-tire-pressures-and-oil-life/?p=20077 Edited July 13, 2015 at 08:15 PM by meyersnole
isaaktnt Posted July 13, 2015 at 08:33 PM Author Report Share Posted July 13, 2015 at 08:33 PM A little disappointing but I guess I can live with it. Coming from a Volt I am totally appreciating all of the Energi luxury features! I finally get to be environmental and still be living it up.. Thanks! Coming from a Volt I am totally appreciating all of the Energi luxury features! I finally get to be environmental and still be living it up.. Thanks! I've been going some comparisons with the Volt too, and found that each model has some things that the other doesn't, and while the Volt is definitely the winner when it comes to range, the Energi has a few more things (Adaptive Cruise, Keyless Entry Pad, better back seat, etc) that the Volt doesn't - so there are tradeoffs no matter what. isaaktnt Posted July 13, 2015 at 09:24 PM Author Report Share Posted July 13, 2015 at 09:24 PM I have had AC seats before but oh boy Ford's is amazing. Very disappointed to find out the 2016 Volt won't have some of the existing Energi's features.. but I do love my Volt.. but it makes more sense for my GF to drive it since she has a longer commute and she loves it. Its still really fun to drive... the few times I get to borrow it back here and there.
murphy Posted July 13, 2015 at 09:59 PM Report Share Posted July 13, 2015 at 09:59 PM If you have a Scangauge II all four tire pressures can be displayed at the same time on the screen.
jdbob Posted July 13, 2015 at 11:05 PM Report Share Posted July 13, 2015 at 11:05 PM If you already have an iOS or Android phone or tablet a cheaper alternative is to use a Wifi or Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the OBD port on the car and the FORScan Lite program. Note: Wifi only for iOS version.
Fat Fusion Posted July 14, 2015 at 01:03 AM Report Share Posted July 14, 2015 at 01:03 AM I had one of these for the Boss 302. It was pretty helpful. I didn't realize it had temp warning too, and got a beeping on a hot day. Turns out my passenger rear tire hit 180 degrees ! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Orange-TPMS-Universal-Tire-Pressure-Monitoring-System-4-Sensors-fits-all-Sedans-/351449321179?hash=item51d4030edb&vxp=mtr
