stickin2themes Posted June 29, 2015 at 05:36 PM Report Share Posted June 29, 2015 at 05:36 PM I just bought a Clipper Creek HCS-40P, 32 amp EV Charging Station. On a full charge its only showing my range at 18 or 19. When I use the 110 I am getting 21. Where should I start my investigation? Thanks,Eric
Hybridbear Posted June 29, 2015 at 07:02 PM Report Share Posted June 29, 2015 at 07:02 PM (edited) SSM 44918 - 2012-2015 Focus Electric, 2013-2015 C-MAX Energi, 2013-2015 Fusion Energi - EV Range Display Variance After Charging The EV Range being displayed after fully charging a 2012-2015 Focus Electric, 2013-2015 C-MAX Energi or 2013-2015 Fusion Energi may vary after each charging event. A variation of EV range does not indicate a battery or charging concern. EV range is similar to the Distance To Empty indication on a gasoline vehicle and the EV range will vary with vehicle operating conditions. Conditions that impact EV driving range include: cooler outside temperature, terrain, driving style, city or highway driving, tire pressure, and use of accessories. Using the cabin heater and A/C, which are electric, will also decrease EV range. To temporarily remove the impact of driving/climate history, reset the Lifetime Summary or Driving History by using the Settings menu on the left side of the instrument cluster, under Display. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/9354-special-service-messages-ssms/?p=93817 Edited June 29, 2015 at 07:03 PM by Hybridbear JATR4
shaggy314 Posted July 5, 2015 at 06:00 AM Report Share Posted July 5, 2015 at 06:00 AM I get that everyday for the last 2 years... I drive to work (uphill overall) and rarely make it all the way (19.2) miles on battery. I drive home (downhill overall) and except in deep winter, make it (19.6) usually with a couple of miles to spare. When I get up to go to work, I see 21 miles of range and never get that much, coming home I see 18 or 19, but get 23ish. The car is guessing (and it has to) based on driving history. Since I have two opposite commutes, it bounces back and forth. Wait until you get sad over a head wind as it drops your mileage 3-4 miles or happy, if you have adaptive cruise, and draft behind a truck at 70 and get over 120+ MPGe.
