Hardp Posted May 17, 2015 at 10:06 PM Report Share Posted May 17, 2015 at 10:06 PM i have a 2013 Fusion Energi Titanium. I synced it with MyFord Mobile and used it for quite some time and then stopped. (To paraphrase the late, great BB King, "The thrill was gone.") I went back to it today and all the features are X'd out other than Account, Vehicle Management and settings. Plus, on my in-car Screen, I cannot set my Go Times. Thoughts? Suggestions? Help? murphy Posted May 18, 2015 at 12:53 AM Report Share Posted May 18, 2015 at 12:53 AM Your car was probably reset when it was in for service. Resend the message to the car and then accept it in the car. In this instance accepting a second message in the car will probably not be necessary. Usually happens any time service loads new firmware in to a module in the car.
Russael Posted May 18, 2015 at 01:37 AM Report Share Posted May 18, 2015 at 01:37 AM If you're on an android phone, go in to App Data and do a "clear data" for the MyFord Mobile app. I had to do this for my phone. The website didn't have any issue, but I did have to accept that connect message in the car. The app had the same symptom you do. This was after I did a master reset on MyFord Touch. howardbc Posted May 31, 2015 at 04:39 AM Report Share Posted May 31, 2015 at 04:39 AM I have MyFord Mobile app all set up on my Android phone for my 2013 FFE and it works great, but I will be helping a friend to set it up for her new 2016 FFE SE. Question: Is the MyFord Mobile app (it will be on an iPhone6) the same as it was for the 2013 FFE? In other words, she'll need a username and password and a passcode. She'll probably need her VIN too, right? She'll just use the app to see if her car has charged, where it is, and simple information like that about her car. So, if anyone has any tips on installing the MyFord Mobile app on an iPhone for the 2016 FFE, it would be appreciated. Thanks!
murphy Posted May 31, 2015 at 01:50 PM Report Share Posted May 31, 2015 at 01:50 PM I don't have an iPhone but I do have an iPad. I recommend that you use a computer to get the car linked to the MFM web site before access with the app is attempted. That means answering the question on the car's screen twice 24 hours apart. howardbc
howardbc Posted May 31, 2015 at 04:07 PM Report Share Posted May 31, 2015 at 04:07 PM Thanks, murphy. I remember the sales person doing something on a computer at the dealership when I bought my FFET in 2013 and I remember having to key in a username and password at that time. I must have done the rest of the setup 24 hours later because my app is working fine. I just now tried to look up "How to set up MyFord Mobile" using Google but of course it keeps taking me back to my own account because I'm using my own PC. But I wanted to know how to help a friend set up a new MyFord Mobile for her 2016 FFE. She has a PC with Windows7 so hopefully that will be sufficient. I told her several times to ask her salesman to get that started for her and it doesn't sound like he did anything. It really makes me angry that he took advantage of her because she is elderly. But she needs to know when her car is fully charged and also where it is located, etc. I will try to get back to her house to start the setup process, but is there a link to all the steps somewhere? As always, you are so much help and I thank you.

I downloaded the app to my iPhone 6+ (search the App Store for "MyFord Mobile," not just "Ford"). Then I went to the MyFord Mobile website (https://www.myfordmobile.com/content/mfm/app/site/login.html) and registered with my e-mail address and VIN following the prompts. Then I had to go to the car, turn it on, and acknowledge that I'd requested for the car to be linked to my login. Then, 24 hours later, I had to acknowledge it again in the car. After the second acknowledgement, all the iPhone app features were unlocked. Piece of cake. howardbc and lonzo71

jeff_h Posted May 31, 2015 at 06:12 PM Report Share Posted May 31, 2015 at 06:12 PM Thank you so much, Blastphemy! This is a big help. From various posts I've seen in the past, it tended to be a lot of reliable to get the account set up and pair the car by using the web site, rather than attempting it through the mobile app -- don't know if that's still the case or if those actions are restricted to the web site anyway, but from what I remember it worked better for other owners when they get everything set up through the web site and then just signed in on the mobile app once it was set up. howardbc
tommyk203 Posted June 17, 2015 at 03:57 AM Report Share Posted June 17, 2015 at 03:57 AM How does the energi communicate? Does it include a hidden sim somewhere to connect to the internet? if so, Can i also use the ford remote access app. the remote access app asks for a sim and pin? Thanks
murphy Posted June 17, 2015 at 09:28 AM Report Share Posted June 17, 2015 at 09:28 AM The Energi has an AT&T data radio embedded into the car. The MyFord Mobile app is used to communicate with the car. https://www.myfordmobile.com/content/mfm/app/site/login.html Hybridbear

howardbc Posted June 18, 2015 at 04:49 PM Report Share Posted June 18, 2015 at 04:49 PM MFM has just not updated for days. First it said that my car was in hybrid mode when it was sitting, turned of, in my garage. Then even after being plugged in for a couple of days, it still says there is no charge and it will be 417am before it's charged. I've tried updating (from my phone) several times. I haven't taken the car in for service or done anything at all to it other than drive it 3-5 days a week as I have for over 2 years. The only thing I can think of is that it has been extremely hot (115) here but it has suvived higher temps. What can I do? If I drive it, will that reset it? The charge port ring shows a full blue circle so I'm assuming the car did actually recharge a couple of nights ago. I use a standard 110/120v wall outlet. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks. murphy Posted June 18, 2015 at 05:00 PM Report Share Posted June 18, 2015 at 05:00 PM What is the construction of the walls of your garage? Mine is stucco which is applied over a metal wire mesh. The wire mesh blocks radio signals from getting into the garage except through the windows. Move the car outside and then try to access it with the app.
howardbc Posted June 18, 2015 at 05:19 PM Report Share Posted June 18, 2015 at 05:19 PM Thanks, murphy. My house is also stucco, but I have always been able to get MFM to give me a status. I'll see what happens after I drive it tomorrow. Thanks.
murphy Posted June 18, 2015 at 06:27 PM Report Share Posted June 18, 2015 at 06:27 PM I just thought of something I did last week when I couldn't contact the car from MFM.Push the lock button on your key fob to wake the car up and then try the MFM app. howardbc
howardbc Posted June 18, 2015 at 07:04 PM Report Share Posted June 18, 2015 at 07:04 PM You are SO smart!! Using the Lock button on my remote worked like a charm to "wake up" MFM. I never use my key. I just keep it in a pouch in the bottom of my pocket book and never think about it. Thank you so much!
