ctfusion Posted April 28, 2015 at 08:21 PM Report Share Posted April 28, 2015 at 08:21 PM I'm hoping you all can give me some assistance here. I just installed Morimoto HID headlights from The Retrofit Source in my 2015 Fusion Energi. Installation went good and everything works fine. Except that when the lights are on there is interference in the radio. It's primarily in less than ideal signal conditions but it seems to always be there. I turn the lights off and the interference goes away. The kit included the HD relay harness, Morimoto XB35 Ballasts and AMP igniters along with 35W 6000K bulbs. Any idea what I can do to eliminate the interference? :sos: Thanks for the help!!
expresspotato Posted May 1, 2015 at 11:43 PM Report Share Posted May 1, 2015 at 11:43 PM (edited) You could try putting an HID capacitor between the relay harness and the connection to where the stock bulb would have got power (aka where your relay harness gets power). Also you could try powering the bulbs from a separate 12v source like another car battery. If the interference continues balasts / wiring from the blasts to the bulbs might need some sheilding.
