Hybridbear Posted April 25, 2015 at 08:41 PM Report Share Posted April 25, 2015 at 08:41 PM Aren't all 2013 Energis from Job 2 except for the occasional Job 1 test car like nascarnat has?
Russael Posted April 26, 2015 at 12:10 AM Report Share Posted April 26, 2015 at 12:10 AM One thing that makes me scratch my head is this: Why did that part change after May 31st? Did they forsee a problem with it, or did they decide something more robust was required, or did they just change vendors which had a different offering? My car was built on May 5, so I will likely get a recall notice for my ride.
murphy Posted April 26, 2015 at 12:45 AM Report Share Posted April 26, 2015 at 12:45 AM Check your ford owner account. The recall notice is already in my account.

I will make a note of this on my list of things for the dealer to fix.

mczajka Posted December 11, 2015 at 01:10 PM Report Share Posted December 11, 2015 at 01:10 PM Has anyone had this done? My dealer can't get the parts for this, and it's been over 6 months.

GregKet1 Posted December 21, 2015 at 05:32 PM Report Share Posted December 21, 2015 at 05:32 PM My car is on the list but the local dealer is still saying they don't have enough parts to do the repairs unless something is broken. Funny enough is that my son's 2013 Fiesta was also on the recall... His friend slammed the door and the latch stopped working; they had to tape the door closed to get home. For THAT, Ford had the parts.
Eric4539 Posted March 2, 2016 at 02:47 AM Report Share Posted March 2, 2016 at 02:47 AM Has anyone had this recall work performed? Here is my story...... I received a letter from Ford in January stating that "Parts are now available to repair your vehicle." I made an appointment for today and dropped my car off at 7:30am. At 2:30pm my service guy called me and said, We performed the work for the door latch recall and we changed the oil, but..." Not what anyone likes to hear. He said, "To replace the door latch, it required removing the window, and in doing so the panels on the door were scratched. We ordered new parts and they will be in tomorrow." I didn't know what to say. I asked what door panels, and he said, On the outside. I could not picture what he was referring to. I was originally going to let the dealer keep my car overnight but I decided not to do that. So I went to the dealer to pick up my car. On the driver's side, the 1 inch wide vertical black plastic trim between the vent window and side glass is totally scratched. On the B Pillar, the plastic trim with the lock/unlock keypad now has a horizontal scratch. There is also a scratch on the chrome trim just above the driver’s window. This recall appears to be fairly large so I would think the technicians would know how to perform this work. I might be wrong. Not to alarm anyone on this forum, but you may want to ask your dealer how the door latches will be replaced. If they don’t explain the process you may want to explain how my B and C pillar trim pieces were scratched and now must be replaced. The recall letter also states that “Your dealer is authorized to provide a rental for your personal transportation at no charge (except for fuel and insurance) while your vehicle is at the dealership for repairs.” When I told my service guy that I would leave the car overnight he did not offer me a rental. One reason why I decided to go get my car this afternoon.
meyersnole Posted March 2, 2016 at 06:31 AM Report Share Posted March 2, 2016 at 06:31 AM I also had a part broken during this recall. I was provided a rental (a Ford Fusion this time -- usually it was a really small car) and they asked me to give them another day to replace the cable assembly that broke during the repair. I agree, this is a major repair. I am not sure, but I think my keyless entry has worked a little better since the repair.
