Platinum15Ti Posted February 28, 2015 at 06:35 PM Report Share Posted February 28, 2015 at 06:35 PM Doesn't have the same rear bumper as the gas model? One thing I miss about my 2014 Ti with the Ecoboost is the rear bumper cover with dual exhaust cutouts. I wish it was an option on the Energi. Hybridbear Posted March 1, 2015 at 07:24 PM Report Share Posted March 1, 2015 at 07:24 PM This has been discussed many times previously. Some ppl are bummed, some don't care.
EnergiCCAATS Posted March 2, 2015 at 03:12 AM Report Share Posted March 2, 2015 at 03:12 AM Sorta bummed, but would have rather they "hid" the exhaust outlet altogether since this is a vehicle you can drive in electric only mode alot. I'm more bummed that Ford didn't do anything more than badging to differentiate the "Energi" model from regular Fusions. I am driving Ford's most technologically advanced, electric-hybrid model in LOADED Titanium trim and should have at least gotten LED DRLs and HID or LED headlights. lonzo71 and bwheetley
Platinum15Ti Posted March 2, 2015 at 09:46 AM Author Report Share Posted March 2, 2015 at 09:46 AM Yes, LEDs or HIDs would have been nice. It's an option on a Focus ST, so I think if not standard on our cars we should at least have it as an option. Personally, I don't like the door badging and will be removing it as soon as the weather gets nicer.

It would have been nice to have a completely hidden exhaust pipe. But additional parts cost money and Ford is trying to produce cars that will be profitable and reasonably priced for consumers. It would be nice to have HIDs, until you have to replace bulbs and/or ballasts.
Platinum15Ti Posted March 2, 2015 at 04:15 PM Author Report Share Posted March 2, 2015 at 04:15 PM It seems like all of the vehicles the that share a platform with Lincoln don't have them as an option, but are optional on the others... Mustang, Focus, F150, etc. I may be wrong, but I think all Lincolns have them... So maybe we have a top of the line Fusion, but the high end car in the same platform is the MKZ. Also mentions of pain to install. http://www.amazon.com/iJDMTOY-Fusion-16-LED-Daytime-Running/dp/B00LLKHMV8/ref=pd_ybh_10

Shawnb2 Posted March 3, 2015 at 03:30 AM Report Share Posted March 3, 2015 at 03:30 AM It is possible and will be doing it with my car once I get it and the 3D Carbon body kit. They have the exhaust conversion kit and requires you to purchase their lower valance that has the dual exhaust in it or you can use it with the EcoBoost lower valance. Their kit includes the pipes and exhaust tip inserts for about $439. It's not super cheap but an option at least. Might even be able to source a stock one from a junk yard and have an exhaust shop bend something up. Might be a touch cheaper especially if you find one in good shape that is same color so you don't have to paint it.

Russael Posted March 3, 2015 at 03:51 PM Report Share Posted March 3, 2015 at 03:51 PM Tiny nitpick. The dual exhaust bumper isn't specific to the Titanium - it's specific to the 2.0L Ecoboost. I've seen several SEs with the dual exhaust and that's because they have the bigger motor. Hybridbear
Platinum15Ti Posted March 3, 2015 at 04:43 PM Author Report Share Posted March 3, 2015 at 04:43 PM If I bought the car, I'd consider swapping it because I think it looks weird... But since it's a lease I'll live with it.
murphy Posted March 3, 2015 at 04:50 PM Report Share Posted March 3, 2015 at 04:50 PM The desire to put dual exhausts on an Energi has me stumped. While driving, the back bumper is not visible to the driver. I have no interest in what the driver in the car behind me thinks about the back of my car. Platinum15Ti Posted March 3, 2015 at 06:09 PM Author Report Share Posted March 3, 2015 at 06:09 PM I don't care how it looks to others, I do other visual mods because I like how it looks. I'll stick with tint and lowering springs as my only mods for this car.
lonzo71 Posted March 4, 2015 at 02:06 PM Report Share Posted March 4, 2015 at 02:06 PM Theres a few issues, like headlights, foglights, Coolseats with heated seats and a few things. It is better than my 10 FFH so I cant complain too much. Tho my next car will have the healights I want with the features I like. I hope Ford will wake up and fix the minor stuff... Why oh why did I have to go through a lot of work to outfit my fusion with HIDs...

Eric4539 Posted April 2, 2015 at 03:12 AM Report Share Posted April 2, 2015 at 03:12 AM It depends when you ordered your car. The heated steering wheel and heated/cooled seats were late availability items for 2014. I don't remember from what month in 2014 they was offered, but I wish they were available from the day the Energi was available for sale. I would have liked to have those options.
