Rexracer Posted February 19, 2015 at 05:31 PM Report Share Posted February 19, 2015 at 05:31 PM There was another thread, but its old so starting a new one.I have a 2013 FFE Ti, with the black leather. Within the first couple of months, noticed that the seat bolster trim was looking worn. I figured I would ask for a fix eventually but may as well put some miles on it to get closer to the end of warranty. Now after having the car for 14 months, the driver seat and passenger seat are both looking a bit tattered. The driver seat makes more sense since I am in/out every day. The passenger seat is only used maybe once a week at most, so its discouraging to see the same wear on it. Was talking to a friend the other day and he mentioned a problem with his wifes Kia Soul, the steering wheel surface totally failed and had chunks coming off in her hand. The dealer fixed it, but wasn't suppose to since it was past the 1 year interior warranty. So a) how many people are having poorly wearing leather seats?b) is there a limited warranty on seating surfaces? Hybridbear Posted February 19, 2015 at 09:14 PM Report Share Posted February 19, 2015 at 09:14 PM We've only had our car since September 2014 and I'm noticed a lot more wear than expected on the driver's seat. More than we saw in the Hybrid SE with Luxury Package which has different leather seats than the Energi Titanium.

Hi guys, To start, here's an excerpt from your Warranty Guide: Damage Caused by Use and/or the Environment The New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover surface rust, deterioration and damage of paint, trim, upholstery, and other appearance items that result from use and/or exposure to the elements. You, as the owner, are responsible for these items. Some examples are:• dings, dents• cuts, burns, punctures or tears• road salt• tree sap, bird and bee droppings• windstorm, lightening, hail• earthquake• freezing, water or flood• stone chips, scratches (some examples are on paint and glass)• windshield stress cracks. However, limited coverage on windshield stress cracks will be provided for the first 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever occurs first), even though caused by use and/or exposure to the elements. I'm happy to send this up to your customer service manager. I'll just need a PM with your VIN (Hybridbear - I have yours), updated mileage, best daytime phone, full name, and dealer name/location.
