TX NRG Posted February 27, 2013 at 07:48 AM Report Share Posted February 27, 2013 at 07:48 AM Anyways, had a question about the $750 coupon. Like a dullard, I pitched one a few weeks ago since I wasn't in the market at the time and it was expiring before I thought I would be. Sooooo, I'm trying any way I can to get another, but anyone know how long the most recent ones are good for? I've got the 1500 autoshow incentive written in our bill of sale, but still trying to get anything I can. This dealer was the best offer after I submitted several online requests for best price. They came back at 900 over invoice, so I can't complain too much, but another $750 off will knock $15 off my monthly! Every bit helps. Even though you threw away the coupon, it still should be registered under your name & address in the Ford "Vincent" system and the dealer should be able to find it and attach it to your deal now. The recent $750 brochure coupons have a 4/1 expiration date. Good luck, and congrats on your order!

He did and has said he will apply it to the purchase even though i don't have it in-hand. Makes you wonder why he didn't apply it to begin with. I believe he was looking in Vincent while we were there because he suggested I might qualify for police association discount. Oh well, I guess that's their way of making the extra bucks. Always be informed when you're buying a car!! Edited February 27, 2013 at 03:37 PM by Scooter80
parlesstwo Posted February 27, 2013 at 05:52 PM Report Share Posted February 27, 2013 at 05:52 PM How did you get a build date earlier than your order date?
Scooter80 Posted February 27, 2013 at 09:05 PM Report Share Posted February 27, 2013 at 09:05 PM How did you get a build date earlier than your order date? I was a little behind the game on getting this car so when I started looking I noticed the exact car we wanted on the ford website. It was a "dealer ordered" on the search inventory page on ford website. Turns out no one had spoken for it yet. I got lucky in other words! Peter Kiener Posted February 28, 2013 at 05:39 PM Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 at 05:39 PM I called ford customer care today and asked for a brochue to be sent for me to buy. She indicated that they do not "automatically" come with the $750 coupon and it was depending on marketing assement ( she would not go into that further). She also said there are incentives out there currently as on their web page but these expire on 4/1/2013 and she said, based on timing, would likely only be valid for dealer ordered cars already in transit . We shall see what I get in the mail
borland Posted February 28, 2013 at 09:44 PM Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 at 09:44 PM (edited) Last week, for a custom ordered Fusion Energi, my local Ford dealer would take a $1000 deposit with 8 weeks estimated delivery. They wouldn't prepare a purchase agreement that included the Ford incentives. They would only agree to the price less incentives, which was about $500 over dealer invoice. They also said they were pretty sure I could get the $1500 Fusion Energi web stated incentive even though it expires 4/1/13, but didn't think the mailed $750 coupon (also expires 4/1/13) would still be good when the car arrived. Only reason I went to the dealer showroom was the salesman said over the phone, that the incentives would be locked in. So, no deal, no order for me. Dealers should have inventory in stock soon. Problem is, if you look at what the dealers have ordered are optioned up Fusion Energi's which start out already optioned up. When I ordered on 2/26 I locked in my $750 offer (expiration 3/4/2013) and 0% for 48 month financing. Both are on my sales contract. Dealer required me to fill out the Ford Credit application to ensure I 1st qualified and then locked the rate in. If I wanted the $1500 rebate they would have locked that in place of the finance offer. See I have 1.9% at credit union and LJ Ford thinks they can beat it when the time comes, so I took the $1500 as the interest over 4 years is less than that amount. If you go to my credit union's loan calculator: https://www.ufcu.org/tools/calculators/index.php?loc=menu They have a way to compare a 0% vs. cash back and loan interest rates. TX NRG Posted March 2, 2013 at 04:31 PM Report Share Posted March 2, 2013 at 04:31 PM I just checked for Energis at a local EV certified dealer and they have 8 NRG Tis ordered (7 already built) and 1 NRG SE ordered. I should have a good chance of test driving at least one of those in the next 1-2 months as they arrive!
