EnergiCCAATS Posted January 26, 2015 at 05:36 PM Report Share Posted January 26, 2015 at 05:36 PM (edited) Picked up MY 2015 FFE Titanium in Magnetic w/black interior last Wednesday. Of course it's been rainy since then, lol, so I had to pull it into warehouse at work to get a good picture. Loving it so far, since I've had it home am averaging over 800 MPG commuting to work, church, grocery and kids activities. Guess wife and I will be jockeying for efficiency ratings, lol. Although I will be on the highway quite a bit more than her. Also, I'm not as patient with "unconditioned interior" and putting up with window fogging, etc....so I am quicker on the trigger to turn on climate control than her. EnergiCCAATS Posted January 26, 2015 at 05:42 PM Author Report Share Posted January 26, 2015 at 05:42 PM (edited) Also, I LOVE the new 2015 Titanium wheels. MUCH better look, easier to keep clean and differentiates between the SE wheels. I like how Ford mimicked the standard Fusion Titanium trim wheels, even though they are 17" instead of 19" to maintain the LRR tires. Ford, I still wish you had included (at least on the Titanium trim) LED DRLs and HID or LED headlights (similar to the Mondeo design) to further differentiate these "state of the art" plug-in hybrids from the normal Fusions. murphy Posted January 26, 2015 at 06:27 PM Report Share Posted January 26, 2015 at 06:27 PM Those wheels are the same as the default 19" wheels on a Tesla. There have been discussions about how similar the Fusion and the Tesla are in appearance. Hybridbear

HotLap Posted January 30, 2015 at 10:32 PM Report Share Posted January 30, 2015 at 10:32 PM EC, congrats on your new FFE, looks great and I like that color!! Had I been able to find the 2 tone interior (ceramic/black) I would have gotten that color or the black. Alas, only had it in the tri-white. Nice look, personally, I'd change out the 17's for Fusion 19's in the black chrome - would really make that color pop! Some day I'm going to wash/wax mine and figure out how to post pics here so everyone can check them out. I de-badged mine as well and (IMO) it looks much cleaner! You say that now... just wait till that competitive streak sets in... you hit the button and watch the estimate range crash... all of the sudden you are not quite as cold as you thought you were! I will admit, I HAVE been putting up with the cold...it's the window fogging I can't stand. Speaking of that, I tried Rain X interior window cleaner "anti fog" and it is crap. Anybody have any suggestions for a better window cleaner that will minimize fog/haze? meyersnole

Speaking of that, I tried Rain X interior window cleaner "anti fog" and it is crap. Anybody have any suggestions for a better window cleaner that will minimize fog/haze? Hahahaa.... I am sure we have all been there... I sometimes use a microfiber towel to work the windows, I will even crack the windows even when its below freezing just to avoid running the defroster. But then there are times when I tell myself this is just stupid and I am going to hit something if I don't turn the defroster on. If I am not running out the door at the last min I will sometimes fire up the heater in the car and warm it up before I go. I am not a good candidate for Go times as my start times are not predictable most of the time. I can say that keeping the windshield clean helps. You have to really clean it though... and that is time consuming. Sorta cleaning it can make this worse.
wazer Posted February 1, 2015 at 08:09 PM Report Share Posted February 1, 2015 at 08:09 PM I only have fogging issues when I leave in the morning with a pre-conditioned car. The heat inside makes it fog up very easily. When I leave work in the afternoon with a cold car, I have no problems with fogging. I have set the My Temp to be LO so that it's easy to activate climate without heat. To deal with fogging when it happens without using too much power, I press My Temp, fan speed 1, face, defrost. This allows air from outside to flow to the windows without forcing the A/C or heater on. You'll see very little power draw from climate while this is on and your windows will clear shortly! I then toggle the climate power on/off for when the windows start to fog up again.
