chuckyeager Posted December 4, 2014 at 01:18 PM Report Share Posted December 4, 2014 at 01:18 PM Hello, I'm Charles from the Netherlands and own since this week probably the only Ford Fusion Energi (Titanium) in Europe. This already gives me a lot of problems since I can not use my mobile number with the car another problem is I can not order (yet) a satnav sd for Europe... Keep you posted. Kind regards Charles
Russael Posted December 4, 2014 at 02:46 PM Report Share Posted December 4, 2014 at 02:46 PM Welcome to the forum. :) Question - what do you mean you cannot use your mobile number with the car? Do you mean that the MyFord Mobile (website or mobile app) doesn't work, or do you mean you can't pair your phone with the vehicle's bluetooth? The former is expected since the car uses AT@T 2G and doesn't have an international roaming package to it, but the latter shouldn't be a problem. Did your vehicle come with the navigation system (795 dollar option)? If not, then a Navigation SD card will not enable it period. If it did come with that option, I kind of wonder if the Modeo over there has any navigation options and what would happen if you popped one of those SD cards in yours. chuckyeager Posted December 4, 2014 at 02:59 PM Author Report Share Posted December 4, 2014 at 02:59 PM Hi Russael, Pairing is no problem. But I can not fill in a mobile number on the website since it is a non us number. It has the navigation system. And I agreed with my dealer that we will try the mondeo SD card as soon as the will come in. Probably within one month from now. Nevertheless It seems I will need version 3.7 of the sync software and I'm now on 3.6.2 .....

chuckyeager Posted December 8, 2014 at 08:43 AM Author Report Share Posted December 8, 2014 at 08:43 AM I think I read it too. I thought he was planning to take his car to Europe but I can't remember Germany or Austria. Would be nice to know how he dealt with some problems I'm experiencing. The latest problem is that the Sony radio only uses uneven digits like 88.3, 88.5, 88.7 But in Europe all digits are used so also 88.4 and so on. Must be a simple software thing but I can't find how to fix that...

The radio may be incapable of properly decoding a signal that uses half of the bandwidth.
chuckyeager Posted December 8, 2014 at 11:22 AM Author Report Share Posted December 8, 2014 at 11:22 AM No, I don't think that will be a problem since all the stations that are broadcasting on the uneven digits have a perfect reception. It's just that I can't select the once ending on an even digit.
