Doug0716 Posted November 24, 2014 at 04:04 AM Report Share Posted November 24, 2014 at 04:04 AM So I accidently opened my trunk while the garage door was closed... apparently the trunk lid is plastic, and it's so soft it gouged on contact with one of the bolts. So mad at myself right now :( I'm normally really careful with my cars and of the mindset that a car isn't worth doing minor repairs, but since it's so small I'll probably get a repair quote. It's really quite small (like 3 or 4 grains of rice small), but it is going to bug me every time I open/close the trunk :-/Thoughts?

zippoking Posted November 26, 2014 at 03:43 PM Report Share Posted November 26, 2014 at 03:43 PM I did that twice in the same way, if you use the keypad to unlock the car, I think you press the last button a second time or something, and I at first thought this might then unlock all the doors rather than just the one, but no, it was the trunk. The second time I did it was just me being an idiot an not remembering that, doh. I figure there's a good enough chance I'll get rear ended someday so why bother fixing... Doug0716 Posted December 2, 2014 at 03:13 AM Author Report Share Posted December 2, 2014 at 03:13 AM I decided to wait a few days, and I don't think about it as often as I thought I would so I prob won't fix it. Also here is a picture, with the remote so you can get an idea on the size, sorry for the delay... holidays and such. :)
HotLap Posted December 19, 2014 at 09:52 PM Report Share Posted December 19, 2014 at 09:52 PM Bummer, can you dial it down by using a cleaner wax to take the edges off a bit? Then you might be able to use touch up paint? I'd at least give it a whirl as you may be able to make it less noticeable. Good luck
