stevengerard Posted October 3, 2014 at 03:47 PM Report Share Posted October 3, 2014 at 03:47 PM (edited) Well, I finally jumped to the other side of the fence. My wife has been hounding me to get us a hybrid for a long time. Considering she works and does most of her driving within a few miles of our house I felt it was a good time to look at a plugin. She has always liked the Fusinon and we have owned many Fords inlcuding a couple of SHOs and still own a Marauder. Our cars average about 8 - 12MPG - all enjoyable but not only costly, clearly not great for the environment. So far the car is great, two plus weeks and not sure we even used a gallon of gas - need to figure out how much we have used eactly. I'm sure there is a way to tell but the fuel gauge still says full. After 80 miles the engine light went on, cycled off and went back on. Just had the TSB taken care of. Need to go back next week and have the bumper and hood repainted, car had damage from sitting on their lot since last December, these Energi's don't seem to sell much here in the midwest. I will say the purchasing process is still horrible, I don't necessarily feel it is restricted to Ford dealers, I think its most Domestic dealerships in general. I assume the upper brass has no idea how painful it is to purchase a car. I also bought a Focus this summer for my son. Again, so far a great car but visiting all these Ford showrooms was to me more a testiment to my desire to buy domestic than the actual experience, anyone with a smidgen of less paitence would have jumped ship. Rexracer Posted October 3, 2014 at 03:57 PM Report Share Posted October 3, 2014 at 03:57 PM There is all the information you need on the left side screen, just search through the menu's Completely agree with the Dealer issues. Ford has come a LONG way with the vehicles, but the dealers are still amazingly bad...
FourAgreements Posted December 8, 2014 at 11:55 PM Report Share Posted December 8, 2014 at 11:55 PM [...] these Energi's don't seem to sell much here in the midwest. [...] Boy, you got that right. I live 60 miles west of Chicago. I had to fly to suburban Baltimore to get the FFET I wanted, right around the same time you got yours (I see the thread's a few months old). Welcome to the forum.
