I am picking up my 2014 FFE Titanium in Tuxedo Black on Black leather tonite and I can already tell I have much to learn to get the most out of this great vehicle.

I want to learn everything!

Hi, Steve.

Welcome to the Ford Fusion Energi forum and congrats on your new Fusion  :congrats:

Congrats and welcome!

1 - Most new owner questions are pretty common, so browse the thread topics and use the search function on the top right, and if you can't find the topic then fire away!

2 - Right now your HVB (high voltage battery) will do well with September weather up there in Boston, but when winter comes around the estimated range will go down due to the cold weather, that's common and larryh has posted lots of very informative posts with his observations/recordings on specifics as to how much things degrade, etc.

3 - Whether you get an extended warranty is up to you (several threads on that here), however also in those threads you'll see 2-3 different online places to buy a Ford extended warranty and probably save hundreds over what the dealer will pitch.

4 - As Robert notes in the above thread, post a pic!

She is a beauty and welcome to the Energi!!  I love that black (my Platinum was Tux black as well)!  The FFE is a great car and pour into this forum for tons of great information!   You'll likely want to get a 220v charging system set up so you can cut your charge times in half, I have the Clipper Creek and it works great although there are other great 220V chargers out there as well.

The biggest adjustment for me is when the ICE kicks in on longer, high speed trips, especially going up a grade and with the CVT is sounds as if it's "slipping" but its not, has plenty of power and is very responsive, I just have to get used to the different driving characteristics.  It's a pure joy driving in EV Now mode (only electric) around town and with the 220V charger being able to keep it charged up and not have to use the ICE at all in town.

Congrats and best of luck with your new FFE!!
