Dag Posted September 5, 2014 at 03:58 PM Report Share Posted September 5, 2014 at 03:58 PM (edited) I purchased my 2013 grey titanium Energi with a sunroof and navigation. I'm ready to part with it.I live in central indiana and would consider making a short drive to deliver it. I don't know what the market will bear for this vehicle, so if your interested let me know. We can work on a fair price!I have about 12k miles on it. It's in excellent condition. I've owned it exactly 1 year. shaggy314 Posted September 7, 2014 at 04:30 PM Report Share Posted September 7, 2014 at 04:30 PM (edited) KBB.com and cars.com will give you a good idea as to value, but remember you just took the huge hit of the first year. IIRC it's almost 25% - 30% of your price (not including TT&L). Edited September 7, 2014 at 04:30 PM by shaggy314

It's only worth what a buyer will pay for it. Also, more buyers means more value. ;)

JATR4 Posted September 7, 2014 at 11:03 PM Report Share Posted September 7, 2014 at 11:03 PM 3FA6P0SU8DR373580 Thanks for the tip!Only difference between yours and mine is yhe driver assist package. Remember that the original window sticker is inflated by $4K over the 2014 and 2015 stickers. Dag
shaggy314 Posted September 8, 2014 at 07:51 PM Report Share Posted September 8, 2014 at 07:51 PM (edited) Also can see what is pending for the car and its build out: http://www.etis.ford.com/ and search the VIN. It's European so don't mind the make as they don't have Fusions there, so it thinks it's a truck... I see you have a pending patch for the car AND you may not have gotten your check yet. 12M02 - SYNC WITH MYFORD/MYLINCOLN TOUCH - WARRANTY EXTENSION COVERING ACCESSORY PROTOCO L INTERFACE MODULE (APIM)14B03 - FUEL ECONOMY CUSTOMER SATISFACTION Edited September 8, 2014 at 07:52 PM by shaggy314
Kybuck Posted September 13, 2014 at 11:28 PM Report Share Posted September 13, 2014 at 11:28 PM My car shows both of those too, and I received my check. The first one is the extended warranty for the Sync system (which was a separate letter from Ford a few months back).
Dag Posted September 20, 2014 at 08:37 PM Author Report Share Posted September 20, 2014 at 08:37 PM I did receive the check. I will ask about the SYNC patch when it goes on for service next. I'm working with another dealership for a purchase of a new car and looking to trade this one in as part of the deal. The car I'm considering isn't available until Mid Oct - so it's crunch time. Dag Posted March 16, 2015 at 02:32 PM Author Report Share Posted March 16, 2015 at 02:32 PM (edited) Bump - I still have this - still in excellent condition. $26,000 looks to be a fair price from KBB 18,693 miles as of 3/16/15 Edited March 16, 2015 at 02:35 PM by Dag

Dag Posted March 18, 2015 at 01:08 AM Author Report Share Posted March 18, 2015 at 01:08 AM Here is what I've learned over the past couple of weeks or so trying to really sell this car. Just like when we bought them, NO ONE knows what they heck they are. No one understands the technology and even Ford does a bad job of promoting it. So the used market for this car is terrible. I would suspect that a dealership who knew what this car was would be able to retail this car for 29-30k. Therefore the wholesale price should be 25-26k - however, I've been pulling teeth to fight to get 22k for this ride. I'm not going to let it go for 22k. It's worth more to me as a third car than trying to buy a third car for 22k a lot less equipped. The market clearly is not ready for this vehicle still. The only way it will fetch 29-30k is from a consumer who understands the technology and doesn't just assume it's a "hybrid" those guys are out there, but the salesforce doesn't have a clue how to sell this product , New or Used. Combine all that with gas hovering around $2.00/gallon and basically the car has very little value in the used market. Two dealerships flat out told me they didn't even want it at 22k - they didn't want to hassle.
Eric4539 Posted March 18, 2015 at 02:00 AM Report Share Posted March 18, 2015 at 02:00 AM Dag, I agree with you that Ford doesn't promote the Energi well at all. Only those that WANT the Energi are willing to pay the premium over the gas engine Fusion or Fusion Hybrid. I hope you get what you want for your Energi. Good luck! jeff_h and Dag
immortal216 Posted March 19, 2015 at 02:42 AM Report Share Posted March 19, 2015 at 02:42 AM Hey Dag what would you be willing to take for this fusion? I never had to get a loan for a private party deal or sold a car that had a note on it however i am looking into a fusion energi i found one at a local dealer a '15 fully loaded with all the options that you can possibly get for $27k. It seems the market for this car is pretty soft, I would however have to sell ym current car in order to buy yours just not sure of all the logistics
Fat Fusion Posted March 19, 2015 at 03:09 AM Report Share Posted March 19, 2015 at 03:09 AM Selling a used car is tough. I recently sold my Boss 302 to drum up funds (and lower expenses!) for a house purchase. I was hoping to get low 30's and ended up taking 26.5k. The kid who bought it got a helluva deal. He blew the engine in his last car, a Porsche, to the tune of 40k so he needed something more cost effective... Good luck with the sale. Keep it advertised.
