ev1016 Posted August 26, 2014 at 11:50 PM Report Share Posted August 26, 2014 at 11:50 PM (edited) I purchased a 2013 Energi with about 10,000 miles on it. If buying new, I would have definitely chosen a package that included remote start. Does anyone know if the remote start can be installed after manufacture? I am moving to a hot climate and would love to be able to cool the car down a couple minutes before getting in. Is there a product Ford offers or has anyone installed aaftermarket product? larryh Posted August 27, 2014 at 12:03 AM Report Share Posted August 27, 2014 at 12:03 AM You can use MyFord Mobile to remote start the car, or to precondition the car when it is plugged in. Preconditioning uses electricity from the wall to cool down the car.
Hybridbear Posted September 8, 2014 at 11:32 PM Report Share Posted September 8, 2014 at 11:32 PM How does remote start work from MFM in an Energi SE that needs a key? Does the Energi SE not have remote start on the key fob like the Titanium? All C-Max Energis have push-button start so they all have the key fob with remote start. I've been wondering this for awhile.
