jal142 Posted July 23, 2014 at 09:56 PM Report Share Posted July 23, 2014 at 09:56 PM For some reason, the dealers down here are asking a lot more for these cars than anywhere else. On truecar, the average price in Florida is $1500 more than the national average. If I were to buy in Maryland I could save almost $3000. Anybody have any idea why this is? Are there regional incentives from Ford?
jeff_h Posted July 23, 2014 at 11:39 PM Report Share Posted July 23, 2014 at 11:39 PM Sounds like you've solved your own issue, a road trip to MD is in order! The dealer where I bought mine is in MD and they have 11 on hand, so hit the road jack - most people would not do that but I've done it several times, helps to enjoy road trips. There are regional incentive differences, go to the Ford site and plug in some different zip codes from various cities. I did that a couple times and noticed a $1,000 difference - maybe there are more nowadays?
jal142 Posted July 24, 2014 at 01:26 PM Author Report Share Posted July 24, 2014 at 01:26 PM Yeah I think I have resigned myself to the fact that I am going to have to buy elsewhere. It is just frustrating that there is no transparency when it comes to dealer pricing. The cars seem to sit on the lot quite awhile down here but the dealers don't seem to mind.
