Alex Posted July 16, 2014 at 02:05 AM Report Share Posted July 16, 2014 at 02:05 AM (edited) I asked 3 dealers in my area for a quote on a SE model with the only option a moonroof. I can do with or without it.Pricing it through the Ford website gave me a cost after rebates of $32,963 or without the moonroof $31,968. Anyone know what these prices might be with X-pricing? I already know Costco is a no-go. Interested to see what the dealers will come back with quotes Edited July 16, 2014 at 02:06 AM by Alex
Doug0716 Posted July 16, 2014 at 03:41 AM Report Share Posted July 16, 2014 at 03:41 AM Go to Edmunds and build with the model with the options that you want, don't pay more than invoice if you have a fair amount of dealerships in your area.http://www.edmunds.com/ford/fusion-energi/2015/?sub=sedan (I think x-plan is invoice plus $100-750, typically not the best deal you can get) jeff_h
wazer Posted July 16, 2014 at 10:40 AM Report Share Posted July 16, 2014 at 10:40 AM I like the no-haggle nature of x-plan. I'm getting my '15 at x-plan minus $500 grad discount, and minus any incentives Ford has at the time of delivery. I'm hoping the federal tax credit is still $4007 for this car, as Ford's build to order configurator is showing $3557 for a lease.
Alex Posted July 17, 2014 at 08:49 PM Author Report Share Posted July 17, 2014 at 08:49 PM So I received at quote today of $33,808 from one dealer, which is just shy of $2000 more than what Ford suggested I could get it for. This is why people get frustrated with Car dealerships...I guess I can wait for the Tesla in a couple years.
apm Posted July 17, 2014 at 09:16 PM Report Share Posted July 17, 2014 at 09:16 PM (edited) Hi Alex, You can configure and price the car with X-Plan pricing at www.fordpartner.com. Use code MC045. The code is from the Mustang Club of America. Don't try to get a PIN without becoming a member of the MCA because the dealer will ask for your MCA card. If you decide that the X-Plan is good then all you have to do is joing MCA for $50 a year and generate your PIN. With the MCA membership you can get 2 X-Plans pin each year. Another good thing about the X-Plan pricing is that it limits the dealers fees to $100. Some dealers charge as much as $700. I used X-Plan for a 2013 Explorer and for the 2013 Fusion Energi. Hope this helps... Regards,APM Edited July 17, 2014 at 09:19 PM by apm
