murphy Posted June 21, 2014 at 05:08 PM Report Share Posted June 21, 2014 at 05:08 PM I was ready to activate a stored route this morning. I had backed out of the garage and was stopped waiting for the garage door to close. I pushed the Voice command button and there was no response. I pushed it a few more times but nothing happened. Thinking it might be blocked by reverse I shifted to Drive but there was still no response. The rear view camera was still on because I have it set to stay on for a short time after shifting to Drive. Not until I was moving forward and the camera turned off was I able to get a response from the Voice button. :(

Doug0716 Posted June 22, 2014 at 02:10 AM Report Share Posted June 22, 2014 at 02:10 AM This is pretty standard, in my Kia I can't use the steering wheel controls to do anything except volume when I'm in reverse. Though it does seem like the entire system is on the extended backup timer rather than just the reverse camera which kinda sucks.
wazer Posted June 22, 2014 at 02:27 AM Report Share Posted June 22, 2014 at 02:27 AM Possible solution: back into the garage when you get home so you can just put it in drive when you're leaving :shift:
