Towmod Posted June 17, 2014 at 08:55 PM Report Share Posted June 17, 2014 at 08:55 PM This is a nice surprise especially since I would get mileage very similar to the original estimates. https://discussions.myfordmobile.com/discussions/MyFord_Mobile_Discussions/PHEV_PlugIn_Hybrid_Ownership/Ford_Lowers_Fuel_Economy_Ratings_Goodwill_Payments_to_be_Paid_to_Owners/mfm010000d1/417.1?lang=en_us FusionEnergi

FrostFire Posted June 18, 2014 at 01:51 AM Report Share Posted June 18, 2014 at 01:51 AM Can anyone point me towards a set of less fragile and more versatile tires?
Rexracer Posted June 18, 2014 at 05:28 PM Report Share Posted June 18, 2014 at 05:28 PM I have always been a fan of these:http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Wrangler+MT%2FR+with+Kevlar with the Kevlar belting it really helps the durability from damage caused by pointy rocks.... kidding aside, define fragile and versatile? Are you having a lot of leaks due to nails/other road debris? Versatile as in good in the snow as well? I haven't had any issues with the current tires, and can't really imagine any normal passenger car being more durable i.e. 6 ply tires
FrostFire Posted June 18, 2014 at 05:46 PM Report Share Posted June 18, 2014 at 05:46 PM I had to get flat bed towed to a dealer and buy a new tire on Saturday after a significant and unfortunately placed pothole tore the sidewall... it's the only problem I've had in 3,750 miles, but the tires on my old Mariner would have brushed off the scrape without issue. I got the car in March, so I haven't really figured out what if anything to do about winter.
Rexracer Posted June 18, 2014 at 11:23 PM Report Share Posted June 18, 2014 at 11:23 PM Ah very unfortunate, but i have never seen or heard of a passenger tire that was as durable as a SUV tire. EnergiCCAATS

Rexracer Posted June 26, 2014 at 03:04 PM Report Share Posted June 26, 2014 at 03:04 PM Whats the draw of the Clipper Creek over the Bosch? If its Price, Bosch is cheaper: http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-EL-51245-Electric-Vehicle-Charging/dp/B00DMG104E/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1403794786&sr=8-13&keywords=bosch+charger If cord length is the issue you can get the bigger one (still only 18 vs the 25):http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-EL-51253-Electric-Vehicle-Charging/dp/B00FM7B1AO/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1403794867&sr=8-12&keywords=bosch+charger and then you are doing some "future proofing" by having 30 amp capability for a different car. The Clipper Creek comes with a 25 foot cord and a separate holster. I have the unit mounted on the wall where it's out of the way, and the holster near the car's charge port. If anyone needs the separate holster Clipper Creek sells it for $19, I think.

I was at a friends on Sun who never pays an electric bill so I just plugged in. I don't ever do that away from home but hey if it's free...
