How do I turn off the grade Assist?

Hi, bernieb. Glad you found out it's just a button on the gear shift that is very easy to press by mistake. It is great for going down steep hills if you don't have NASCAR Ned on your bumper.

But I wish there was a 2nd physical owner's manual. I keep one in the house and would like to have another one in the glove box. I am totally into PDFs and on-line manuals, but for the FFE sometimes it's easier to have an actual paper book.

I've asked my Ford dealer about getting a 2nd manual and they made it sound like it was either very expensive (why??) and/or very difficult to obtain. Does anyone know where I could get another current owner's manual? I asked my sales person of course, but she wasn't very helpful/enthusiastic about finding another one. I also asked the dealer's expert on the Sync system and got the same response. I don't mind paying for a 2nd copy if it's not like $100+ which was what I was quoted.

I'm afraid I have a very bad impression of Helm Inc.

I have tried twice to order an owner's manual for my car. Both times the helminc website's order software keeps asking me to re-enter what I already entered. (Grrr.) Obviously there is something wrong. I also tried calling their Customer Service number but it said they're closed and to call back. (That was a big help.)

Terrible service. I will try to find the manual somewhere else and will welcome suggestions.

Thanks.

I see the Grade Assist warning light on, and I have no idea how I turned it on. And there is nothing in the owners manual about how to turn it off. The only reference in the manual is on page 83, which tells me that the light is illuminated when the assist function is turned on.

How do I turn it off? Thank you
