Hardp Posted June 2, 2014 at 03:17 PM Report Share Posted June 2, 2014 at 03:17 PM Ever since I purchased my '13 Titanium Energi, the auto-up window feature has worked intermittantly; it will randomly stop working and I will have to re-set it. I've had it into the dealer once and, of course, at that visit, the feature worked perfectly. I also understand that there is a Service Bulletin on this problem but it only deals with Energi's built before a specified date; mine was built after that date. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there something I can point out to the service tech when I bring it in next week (at which time, I'm sure it will be working correctly). Thanks. Rexracer Posted June 2, 2014 at 03:43 PM Report Share Posted June 2, 2014 at 03:43 PM I have had this problem also, its worked a couple times in the last 5 months. I just haven't gotten it into a dealer to get it worked on. But i believe my car is an early build that would be covered by that TSB. Eric4539 Posted June 3, 2014 at 02:21 AM Report Share Posted June 3, 2014 at 02:21 AM Hey Hardp, My build date is 2/2/13 so the TSB for the Loss of One-Touch-Up Power Window Operation fixed my issue. It is for build date on or before 4/30/13. I figure the best way for your dealer to understand that you are experiencing this issue is to take the car in on the day that you have the problem. I would wait until it fails, and then drive the car in immediately, if you can, without resetting it. I suppose a few dealers won't listen to you unless they can replicate the issue. Good luck! jeff_h Posted June 3, 2014 at 11:51 AM Report Share Posted June 3, 2014 at 11:51 AM Here is the link to the TSB in another thread that should address this, unless your dealer has already applied it and something else is wrong. http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/1248-collection-of-tsbs-related-to-energi/?p=8796

Russael Posted June 3, 2014 at 11:40 PM Report Share Posted June 3, 2014 at 11:40 PM Hardp, just click on Fordservice (the name) and it'll take you to her profile. From there, just click 'send me a message'. Best not post your phone number for all of the internet to see. :)

Send me a PM with your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and dealer info. AshleySo I took it to the dealer who "reprogrammed" whatever. Seems to have fixed the fr driver's window but not fr passenger side. Her's my Q. Am I inadvertently "turning off" the auto up function on that window? Each time it happens the window is in the up position and when I gotomypc open it, it goes down about one inch and stops and goes into manual. Mode. I'm never sure if i have anything to do with it or if my finger slipped off the button too quickly and that is what put it in manual mode. Every time they "fix" it, it eventually would break again. The trouble was that it was hard to replicate as it would only happen intermittently, so i could never show them. I now have 2014 model (lemon law replacement) and it has been working great since day one.
Ben Bruce Posted August 18, 2014 at 04:33 PM Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 at 04:33 PM Hello All,I have an issue similar to what is described above. Since new, I have not been able to lower my windows with the FOB. Once I got them to go up with the FOB but never again. I asked the dealer to look at the issue when it was last in for service but they forgot (whatever). Is there something I can do to reset it and get it to work? Ben Bruce Posted August 18, 2014 at 10:41 PM Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 at 10:41 PM Thanks Murphy for the link. I tried holding down the switch on the door like the other post suggested and no change for me when I try to use the FOB to lower all the windows at once. No worky for me. I'll be taking it back to the dealer for some other stuff, I assume they can figure it out??? Ben
Russael Posted August 19, 2014 at 11:10 AM Report Share Posted August 19, 2014 at 11:10 AM You might have it disabled... go here in your left instrument cluster screen to see if it's enabled or not: Settings -> Vehicle -> Windows -> [Remote Open, Remote Close] -> on/off. If it's enabled, a trip to the dealer will be in order.
Ben Bruce Posted August 19, 2014 at 08:23 PM Report Share Posted August 19, 2014 at 08:23 PM Thanks Russael, Looks like another trip to my friendly dealer. (thanks for the suggestion tho) Ben
Ben Bruce Posted August 25, 2014 at 08:17 PM Report Share Posted August 25, 2014 at 08:17 PM Looks like we finally figured it out (Dealer and I). We did not realize that you first have to lock the doors then unlock then hold the unlock button down. We misunderstood the Have to Lock it First Part. All is working as designed now. Looks like it was operator error. My service guys tell me they are always learning something new with me and this car. Ben Rexracer
GregKet1 Posted August 26, 2014 at 06:36 PM Report Share Posted August 26, 2014 at 06:36 PM (edited) I just took my 2013 to the dealer for this. They actually had to replace hardware, not just reprogram it. The annoying thing is that when I made the appointment I told them the symptoms and gave them the associated TSB number but they didn't order the parts before I got there resulting in having to go back again a week later. Wouldn't be a huge problem but my dealer is almost 40 miles away so that is a lot of wasted time/gas/energy. I guess the good news is that the auto-up has been working every since.
