Running low on '14 Titaniums

...or at least closer to running out of them on the lots because I bought a 2014 Titanium here in Tampa over the weekend.

I couldn't take it home with me though because the service department wouldn't clear it. The report was "a module needs to be upgraded". The salesman was talking out of his butt saying that they want the new upgraded module before I take it so it won't have any problems. I'm going to find out more today when I (hopefully) go pick it up and get the maintenance paperwork.

It makes me nervous to have my new car with 7 miles on it in the shop already for 4 days. Anyone else had any similar experience? I'm really looking forward to driving my Energi, but they gave me one of the 2.0L GTDI models to drive around. It's fun to play around with but I want to drive with electrons, not explosions!

I can look into this for you, CapnBry. Send me a PM with your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and dealer info. I'll see what I can find out.

I picked up my Energi last night! The issue was that there was "an internal short in the DC/DC converter" that was draining the 12V battery. They replaced the converter and today I'm driving around in this awesome-mobile. 11 mile commute to work in stop and go traffic was 2.8kWh or about 30 cents versus the $2.65 average one-way cost in my old vehicle. A car that looks this good, has all the latest tech, and is this economical? I couldn't be happier.
