Looking to add bass tube or box in trunk

There is not much room back there, if bass is important to you you might want to consider the titanium model (I read in another thread you are ordering) as it has the HD radio and has plenty of bass.

fingers crossed :) but I haven't found a stock system yet that I was happy with...it will be a challenge for sure but ive done some pretty creative installs in the past...sometimes its fun, sometimes its just frustrating but in the end I get much better audio :)

No doubt a sub will improve the Titanium sound.  There's "some" mid range bass but nothing deep and hard hitting like a 10" or 12" sub can put out.

that's what I expect, as with all stock systems, despite their so called upgraded sound systems...one 10" speaker and a high quality amp can change everything :)

Aren't there potential issues with the active noise cancellation and adding an amp and/or upgrading speakers?

There are.  I read a thread on the Hybrid forum and someone did some upgrades to the sound system. After upgrading the subwoofer, the active noise cancellation system didn't know how to handle the upgraded components and wound up causing the sub to rumble quite loudly while moving or while the engine was running.  The system doesn't seem to measure the counter noise it produces, so it overcompensated.

I've been reading as many threads as I can find on this and it looks like some folks have simply disabled the ANC (by manually unplugging the ANC microphones under the headliner)...A fuse doesn't seem to be an option as the same fuse apparently also runs the audio system. I'm not a big fan of ANC so probably wont miss it when its gone.
