broker02 Posted April 29, 2014 at 05:12 PM Report Share Posted April 29, 2014 at 05:12 PM What have people gotten in terms of EV range going 65-70mph on the highway? Will it go 21 miles? Thinking of purchasing given there are charging stations at work but want to know if I can get my full 17 mile (90% highway) commute on EV mode. Thanks in advance. meyersnole Posted April 29, 2014 at 06:24 PM Report Share Posted April 29, 2014 at 06:24 PM (edited) At 70 mph, you will burn through the battery rapidly. The specifics of how much energy is consumed are explained in the topic OBD II Data for ICE by larryh. Note that these figures are derived from running the motor though. He also mapped how much energy is consumed from the battery here: http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/1020-reported-trip-energy-used-vs-energy-required-to-recharge-car/?p=5711 Edited April 29, 2014 at 06:26 PM by meyersnole
