Simon Chang Posted April 1, 2014 at 11:25 PM Report Share Posted April 1, 2014 at 11:25 PM I wanted a titanium model but I don't think I would have been able to get a better price than this $36000, so ~$32,000 before taxes and fees. Still need to file rebate for California and see how federal tax credit will work. 2013 FFE SEDeep Impact BlueDriver Assist PackageActive Park AssistCruise ControlRear View Camera Unfortunately, these are all things I didn't care much about, though they are neat.I wanted mostly the push button start, a rear sensor/camera, and on screen navigation, which titanium models will have, other than the navigation. I wasn't aware the SYNC myford touch wasn't an actual screen navigation. I didn't even realize turn by turn navigation was different. I'm disappointed in that regard, but I still have my android phone and google maps. There were 2014 FFE Titaniums at another dealership with just the navigation system added so those would have been appropriate cars for my fit/need, they MSRP at $38,120. However, I don't think I would have been able to score much of a deal with these, and would have been more along $38-39k out the door. But that's my speculation. How well do you guys think I did? SteveEnergi Posted April 2, 2014 at 12:01 PM Report Share Posted April 2, 2014 at 12:01 PM So you already made the purchase? Unfortunately, I do not think that was/is a very good deal for an SE. I'm seeing them listed at around $29k pre tax for a new one and around $27k for one's with a couple thousand miles. http://www.cargurus.com/ Steve
MC2 Posted April 2, 2014 at 05:45 PM Report Share Posted April 2, 2014 at 05:45 PM I agree with Steve. I got my FFE Ti w/ Nav, DA Pkg, Rear View Camera, Moonroof for $33K before taxes and fees. I was going to get an SE but for the little difference in price, I went with the Ti. The biggest decision maker for me was the seats/leather, 7-speaker Sony system, and the push start. Also, I rented a 2013 FFH SE before getting my car, and had a lot of problems with my iPhone and SYNC. I don't know if the firmware was changed, but with my 2014 FFE Ti, the communication with my iPhone and SYNC has been flawless.
Simon Chang Posted April 2, 2014 at 11:48 PM Author Report Share Posted April 2, 2014 at 11:48 PM (edited) How are you guys even getting so low though? This is a price without taking into consideration the tax credit and rebate. With this options, the price for a 2014 FFE Titanium tends to put it around 40k MSRP. I see averages at maybe 10% off MSRP, so 36K + taxes and fees. I find it hard to believe that you guys are getting lower than the invoice for 2014 models. SteveEnergi Posted April 3, 2014 at 12:08 AM Report Share Posted April 3, 2014 at 12:08 AM I bought my 2013 Titanium for invoice. No moonroof, no adaptive cruise and no Parking assist. I have all other options. The only option I wanted but didn't get was adaptive cruise and I didn't want to special order.
blars Posted April 3, 2014 at 01:21 AM Report Share Posted April 3, 2014 at 01:21 AM My 2014 FFE titanium had an msrp of 44.5k, price before tax credit of 37k, so 33k capitalized cost for my lease. I have all the options except for active park assist, adaptive cruise, heated steering, and cooled seats.

The 2014s start off 4k lower then the same 2013, but the big deals are on the remaining 2013s. Ford needs to get them off the lots. In December I got 10k off of MSRP (not including the tax rebates), so at the end of the day I will have paid 29k for a 43k car.

Congrats on the new car, Simon! You're going to love it. Even if the vehicle isn't equipped with navigation, you can use the turn-by-turn directions through SYNC Services. You'll find more information here: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/sync-services-overview-sync-myford-touch If you prefer to use a navigation app that is already installed in your phone, press the VOICE COMMAND button on the steering wheel while the phone is paired and say BLUETOOTH AUDIO. This will allow the sound from the app to come through the speakers of your vehicle instead of the phone. I agree with Steve. There was a software update released in August (V3.6.2) for MyFord Touch. Many users have indicated that the connection between their iPhones and MyFord Touch has improved drastically. Perhaps that was it. :) I encourage you to always stay up-to-date on software by checking your account at: www.Support.Ford.com Kim
