Elbow dent on top of drivers door

I have had the car for 2 months and have 2300 miles on it.  I tend to drive with my left elbow resting on the top of the door.  While I apprecicate that Ford has tried to keep the weight down by using light material, I would not have expected a common practice such as resting one's elbow on on the top of the door interior to have left a permanent dent after such a short amount of time.

 

Anyone else noticed this?

This has happened to me in some degree in every car I've had for the past 20 years, either on the driver's door and more so on the center console where my elbow tends to sit.  I guess that's a drawback of the softer material,

I rest my elbows on the door armrest and the center console. I haven’t noticed any denting, and have looked for it, since I am always placing my elbows in the same place. Given the high beltline of this car, I would think it to be uncomfortable having my elbow on top of the door. Maybe you’re taller than me (6')? Or it could just be the fact that it’s been winter and the windows have stayed up most all the time. ;-)

My point is, Ford probably did not expect this to be a "wear" point.

My door dented too.

I stopped putting my elbow up and the dent disappeared. Phew, didn't like that.

Amazingly the center armrest shows no dents yet.
