Checkers Posted March 17, 2014 at 08:48 PM Report Share Posted March 17, 2014 at 08:48 PM Hello! I am looking at a 2013 Energi, and wonder if there were and updates for the energi system or the myford touch system I should make sure are completed prior to purchase? Thanks in advance for your help! Mike
meyersnole Posted March 17, 2014 at 09:15 PM Report Share Posted March 17, 2014 at 09:15 PM Hi Checkers. There are no critical updates that I am aware of for the 2013 (which I own). You can see a list of the TSBs (technical service bulletin) that we know about here: http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/1248-collection-of-tsbs-related-to-energi/ There was an update to MFT recently (and hopefully there will be more). You can ask your dealership to update it for you, or apply the update yourself (if it was not already applied). Once you get the car, there are a couple sites that you are going to want to register your car into. MyFord Mobile: https://phev.myfordmobile.com/content/mfm/en_us/site/login.html and to keep up with your vehicles maintenance concerns, Ford Owner's Garage: http://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/HomePage From your garage you will be able to check vehicle health reports. Thanks in advance for your help! Mike Hey Checkers, Your MyFord Touch system should already have V3.6.2 installed when you go to purchase. You can also verify right from the MyFord Touch display by pressing the 2 gears > HELP > SYSTEM INFORMATION > scroll down to the CCPU number. The last 5 digits will read: 13171 if the latest software has been installed. :) Kim
Jeremy Harlin Posted April 4, 2014 at 07:41 AM Report Share Posted April 4, 2014 at 07:41 AM No worries. It can be done with a simple usb thumb drive and a download of the new software from the ford website. Once you insert the drive the update starts automatically. Very easy and will most likely be your method for future updates as well.
