Roy Aggarwal Posted March 4, 2014 at 04:52 AM Report Share Posted March 4, 2014 at 04:52 AM Hi Everyone, I first want to say thanks to all the different posts in this forum. I spent a fair amount of time doing internet research on whether the Energi was for me and I got convinced that it could be the one for me with all the wealth of info found here....THANK YOU! I picked up a 2013 Titanium model with all the options from a dealer that took the car on a dealer to dealer trade. Fortunately for me, the car sat in their inventory for a lot longer than they wanted and at the end of the day, I got a smoking deal with rebates, tax credit and other dealer incentives that totaled nearly $10K. Oh, by the way, don't forget to ask for the competitor lease rebate (Conquest cash) for $1K. I love, love the car. Came from a high performance German sports car and I don't feel like I've downgraded at all. Stating the obvious, the zoom zoom is not there, but my driving experience has become of a challenge every time I get behind the wheel of how much I can eek out of the car. It has become a bit of an obsession and addiction. I've put on a lot of highway miles of late so I'm not having the same experience as those that haven't filled up the tank in over 1,000 miles of driving, but I get pumped when I return a 58MPG figure on a 77 mile drive from Colorado Springs to Denver! I should have done better, but because I'm still learning the car, I didn't use all of my 'saved' EV potential before reaching the parking garage. A couple of nits that I didn't know and still baffled how it is given the amazing-ness of the car overall are: 1. Passenger seat has no height adjustment.2. No HID headlights3. MyFord Touch does NOT support the SynchApp - Pandora streaming still need to reach for the phone to change song or give thumbs up/down4. The charge port door is flimsy and prone to forget to close - has happened twice already in 4 days! These are nits and no car is perfect. The pleasure I get out of driving the Energi and sense of good-doing I'm doing for the environment far out weighs the negatives and I'm happy to be part of the family! murphy Posted March 4, 2014 at 11:13 AM Report Share Posted March 4, 2014 at 11:13 AM If you are right handed remove the charging plug with your left hand and immediately close the charging door with your right hand.Once the door is latched then put the charging plug away. Gigi Posted March 4, 2014 at 02:45 PM Report Share Posted March 4, 2014 at 02:45 PM 4,500 miles and I am still loving our Fusion Energi. I hope your experience is as positive as mine. I'm glad that comments on the forum helped your decision. Overall, I'm happier with this car than I have been with any other car purchase in more than 40 years of buying cars. Congratulations on your purchase.
jeff_h Posted March 4, 2014 at 02:51 PM Report Share Posted March 4, 2014 at 02:51 PM My wife's now has over 14,000 and mine now has almost 9,000 - I drive a lot more daily commute miles so I am gaining quickly. The only real issue I've had with mine was the Go Times not working and that was fixed with a 30 minute software update. The only issue with hers is a piece of piano black trim near the driver's side mirror tends to pop out 1/2 inch and needs to be glue in, and recently the driver seat has somehow become unlatched from the base and I can't see how to latch it back down so will have to take it in so someone from the body shop can fix it quickly and easily. I would say those are very minor issues and it was time for a trip to dealer anyway since her car is due for state inspection next month.
