Kybuck Posted February 22, 2014 at 05:57 AM Report Share Posted February 22, 2014 at 05:57 AM On my 2014, an alert pops up on the right screen in the instrument cluster when I have a new text with the options to "Listen", "Cancel", or "Call" (or something like that). If I'm in the car with people who I don't want to hear the text, I just choose "Cancel". Similar options also pop up on the main touch screen too. Jack Posted February 22, 2014 at 07:09 AM Report Share Posted February 22, 2014 at 07:09 AM On my iPhone I had to turn on the "Show Notifications" options under the Bluetooth options for SYNC in order to enable the text message notifications. If yours is an iPhone you can try turning this option off.

That being said, I checked in the manual... Under "Phone Settings", there is a "Message Notification" option that can be set on or off. You also could turn "do not disturb" on, which will send all calls to voicemail and not notify for new text messages.

If will just not notify at all when a text appears except on the phone.
