Jpbz28 Posted January 27, 2014 at 07:38 PM Report Share Posted January 27, 2014 at 07:38 PM Here's my issue... When I press the driver window button down, which should roll down the window, it does, until about 20% is left, then it stops. It will not go down more than 80% of the way. On the way up, if I do it manually, it will close. If, however, I hold the button up to engage the auto up feature, it closes all the way, then opens about 20%- every time. From reading the manual, here is what I hypothesize is happening... I believe there is an incorrect setting such that the window "thinks" it is fully open at 80%, and "thinks" it is only 80% closed when it is really 100% closed. Because it "thinks" it still needs 20% of the distance to go to close, the "Bounce Back" feature is engaging, causing the window to go down. Anyone have thoughts, experience, or an idea how to reset the window? Thanks!
murphy Posted January 27, 2014 at 08:22 PM Report Share Posted January 27, 2014 at 08:22 PM Try this: Press and hold the button to lower the window completely until the window has been down for 5 seconds.Release the button and then press to lower and hold for 5 seconds.Press and hold the button to raise the window completely until the window has been up for 5 seconds.Release the button and then press to raise and hold for 5 seconds. All four steps may need to be repeated. This is slightly different that what is described in other threads but is what my service manager said was the proper procedure. jeff_h
