Rholsti Posted January 25, 2014 at 12:28 AM Report Share Posted January 25, 2014 at 12:28 AM Can any one tell me how to get my car color back on mfm ? I don't know what I did, but it is now grey and fuzzy while every one else is normal.
jeff_h Posted January 25, 2014 at 01:13 AM Report Share Posted January 25, 2014 at 01:13 AM Is that you in 4th place in Region 1? Strange... I would go into vehicle management and change color and save, then change back to correct color and save again... have you tried that? Kybuck Posted January 25, 2014 at 03:12 AM Report Share Posted January 25, 2014 at 03:12 AM If you have a 2014, changing your car's name will default the color back to black... and although the color option was there when you set it up, the colors are "hidden" for 2014 models on the vehicle screen At least that was my experience. I did find a workaround to change the color back to the actual (sterling grey, in my case), but my car still shows up as "fuzzy" in the rankings. Rholsti Posted January 26, 2014 at 01:01 AM Author Report Share Posted January 26, 2014 at 01:01 AM I went into vehicle management and it seems like there is no way to change it unless I delete the account and start all over again. If I do that all of my rankings will be gone. Yes, I did change the name and that's what did it. I am at position #74 in region 1I could not figure out a work around but I guess I will let it be. Kybuck Posted January 26, 2014 at 11:58 PM Report Share Posted January 26, 2014 at 11:58 PM Hopefully Ford will add the 2014 color options soon. Here's the workaround that I did, but I absolutely cannot guarantee that this will work or won't cause any other issues! If you don't know HTML code, I wouldn't recommend this approach. Log in to MFM with Firefox, with the Firebug extension enabled. Browse through the HTML code in the firebug window until you get to the "Vehicle Color" section. For every line that shows: <dl class="itemAction vehicleColor hidden js_addVehicleColorOption clearfix"> remove "hidden" so that it reads: <dl class="itemAction vehicleColor js_addVehicleColorOption clearfix"> After I selected the correct color and clicked "Save", it came up with an error message... but the correct color was saved. Note that it looks like only the 2013 colors are available (since Bordeaux Reserve is on the list and Dark Side / Sunset are not on the list).
