Hello and welcome to the boards.  Also, welcome to your new car too. :yahoo:

You may want to have a look at this thread:  http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/710-what-level-2-charger-did-you-buyinstall/

Big, long discussion about L2 chargers.  Fundamentally, they're all the same, but if you want to 'future proof' a little, buy a charger that exceeds the capacity the car uses (eg - buy a 30 or 32A charger vs a 16A one) in case you decide you want to upgrade down the road.

I would suggest that you consider which options are most important to you when selecting a 240 V charger.  Power capacity is one of the most important, but there other features that you might find important, such as cord length, delay timer, on/off switch, portability, weatherproof, etc.  You will also need to decide if you want a plug-in model or a hardwired unit.  Finally, you might want to check with your power company to see if there are any special rates available for charging electric vehicles.  There will be no difference in charge time regardless of the charger that you select.  The Energi only draws 3.4 kW of power from the charger.  All 240 V chargers supply at least that amount of power.  But you might want to buy one with more capacity in case you decide to purchase a vehicle in the future that can take advantage of the additional power.

I just sunk a post in concrete today for this charger.  I'm going to have it outside next to my driveway.  I don't know about the other chargers, but this one is made in the USA and can provide more power than our current Fusions can take at a great price.  I also bought the little holster that should keep rain out of the connector when not in use.  Lastly I bought a "hose hanger" for five bucks on eBay for ease of use.

Several months ago when I was researching 240v chargers the GE Wattstation was highly recommended.  It is a nice looking unit.  At that time it was $850 so seeing a site list it for half that is very suspicious.  Home Depot reduced their price to $699, but everyone else is still holding their prices around $800.

I needed a charging cord longer than 16 feet which is one reason I did not purchase the GE Wattstation.
