zimm25 Posted December 11, 2013 at 01:51 AM Report Share Posted December 11, 2013 at 01:51 AM Anyone else having issues with side view mirrors? I find myself resetting the mirrors almost everyday. It doesn't seem to be every day though. ??? The other day, I got out of the car and heard the driver's side mirror moving as I got out. Key was in my pocket and the car wasn't plugged in yet, so it can't be just based on plugging in. Any ideas out there?
murphy Posted December 11, 2013 at 01:58 AM Report Share Posted December 11, 2013 at 01:58 AM Read about the memory function (page 134 in my copy of the Owner's Manual).Basically the car can link a key to a seat position and a mirror position. jj2me

stevenwpt Posted June 6, 2022 at 11:05 PM Report Share Posted June 6, 2022 at 11:05 PM I have the same issue. It happens to my car after it rains or when I take it to the car wash. I took it to Long McArthur ford and when they checked into it they said that it is a issue with the wire harness connectorso to the mirrors. They said ford knows about it but they wont do a recall. And then they wanted some God awful amount to fix it. No way I was paying it. I argued with them about it being a safety hazard. The first time it happened to me it was dark so i didnt my mirrors had moved, my infant son was in the car and I dang near ran a car off the road on the interstate. It could of been bad for the other car me and my son. I found out NHTSA is who issues recalls on vehicles and then dealerships have to do them. We should all make a complaint to NHTSA and see if we can't get this safety Hazzard recalled. Plus I don't like the idea of it wearing out the motor and gears to my mirrors. Then I'll have to pay for that. And they shouldn't make money to fix a problem caused by there own falty product. They need to fix it before someone gets hurt. If someone hasn't already.
