bemason@gmail.com Posted November 26, 2013 at 04:42 AM Report Share Posted November 26, 2013 at 04:42 AM So I can use the spare physical key that came with the car to open the driver door. Simple once you realize you use the tip of the key to press in a bit, then slide the lock cover toward the back of the car. Lucky I was at home where that extra key was. NOW the big question is what if I'm out on the road and not at home? Is there a physical key hidden in the key FOB's themselves? If so...how do you get the key out? Simply hold the FOB so you are looking at the lock and unlock buttons and they are pointed 'up'. Now turn the FOB over. You see a lit notch with a slot in it. Press a key or something 'gently' into that slot so you are sliding the notch toward the other end of the FOB. It just needs to go a little bit. Once you get this to move, you are now able to 'split' the FOB in half. It opens to reveal a small physical key which you can use on the drivers door. Remember to remove the cover as mentioned above in the first section. Make sure to put the key back in the exact same way when finished, and, gently snap the cover back together. Laura Cain Posted May 20, 2014 at 03:04 AM Report Share Posted May 20, 2014 at 03:04 AM Does anyone know how to unlock all 4 doors through keyless entry at the driver door? I know unlocking any of the other 3 doors does it but when I walk up to my car with other people, they have to wait for me to open my door and unlock theirs from the inside. What am I missing?
