Hardp Posted November 25, 2013 at 09:11 PM Report Share Posted November 25, 2013 at 09:11 PM The 2013 Titanium Fusion Energi's hi-beams dim automatically in oncoming (or bright surrounding) light, correct? How come even if I have a car coming directly at me with it's lights on, sometimes my hi-beams dim and sometimes they don't and sometimes when the oncoming car passes they go back to hi and sometimes they don't. Is there any setting to adjust sensitivity Thanks

ChuckJ Posted November 26, 2013 at 02:46 AM Report Share Posted November 26, 2013 at 02:46 AM It is a problem. When I'm in the housing area they dim any time there is any type of reflection (like a stop sign). I asked my salesman about it and he says the lane camera is the sensor and there is no sensitivity adjustment. I hope he's wrong and someone will tell us how to adjust the sensitivity. SteveEnergi Posted November 26, 2013 at 02:07 PM Report Share Posted November 26, 2013 at 02:07 PM Page 69 of the manual. Maybe you're meeting one of these conditions: Once the system is active the high beamswill switch on if:• The ambient light level is low enoughthat high beams are needed.• There is no traffic in front of the vehicle.• The vehicle speed is greater than25 mph (40 km/h). The high beams will switch off if:• An approaching vehicle's headlights ora preceding vehicle's tail lamps aredetected.• Vehicle speed falls below 16 mph(25 km/h).• The ambient light level is high enoughthat high beams are not required.• Severe rain, snow, or fog is detected.• The camera is blocked. Hardp Posted November 27, 2013 at 04:26 PM Author Report Share Posted November 27, 2013 at 04:26 PM Silly Q. Does it matter if the light stalk is in the HB or LB position for auto dimming to work?
Eric4539 Posted November 27, 2013 at 06:52 PM Report Share Posted November 27, 2013 at 06:52 PM I'm pretty sure your light stalk has to be in LB. I think that was why my auto high beams did not work when I first tested it. If you leave your stalk in HB you are essentially over riding the auto high beam function.
