Automatic Hi-Beam Dimmer

The 2013 Titanium Fusion Energi's hi-beams dim automatically in oncoming (or bright surrounding) light, correct?

How come even if I have a car coming directly at me with it's lights on, sometimes my hi-beams dim and sometimes they don't and sometimes when the oncoming car passes they go back to hi and sometimes they don't.

Is there any setting to adjust sensitivity

Thanks

It's also looking at the tail lights of the car in front of you.

It is a problem.  When I'm in the housing area they dim any time there is any type of reflection (like a stop sign).  I asked my salesman about it and he says the lane camera is the sensor and there is no sensitivity adjustment.

I hope he's wrong and someone will tell us how to adjust the sensitivity.

Page 69 of the manual.  Maybe you're meeting one of these conditions:

Once the system is active the high beams

will switch on if:

• The ambient light level is low enough

that high beams are needed.

• There is no traffic in front of the vehicle.

• The vehicle speed is greater than

25 mph (40 km/h).

The high beams will switch off if:

• An approaching vehicle's headlights or

a preceding vehicle's tail lamps are

detected.

• Vehicle speed falls below 16 mph

(25 km/h).

• The ambient light level is high enough

that high beams are not required.

• Severe rain, snow, or fog is detected.

• The camera is blocked.
