Installing Clear Bra and Wrap

Hello all,

Just picked up a White Platinum 2013 Ford Fusion Energi last week and plan on doing a couple of modifications. The installer is putting on the 3M Clear Bra covering the front bumper and the whole hood at the moment. She will also be wrapping the front grille and the roof in gloss black. I will post pictures after everything is complete.

Oh I so need this.  What was the cost of the grill alone?  I'd love to get a carbon fiber wrap - but this looks pretty darn good!

Well, I paid $800 all together for the wrapping of the roof, the grille, and Clear Bra for the full front bumper and the full hood, which is an excellent price here in Oklahoma. Most people are paying upwards of $1000 for the Clear Bra alone which most people only cover half of the hood. Carbon fiber would look awesome with the black!

I bought the "full" 3M clear bra kit back in September and enlisted the help of a friend to install the bra myself.  The kit included the front 2/3 of the hood, fender tips, full front bumper, headlights, side view mirrors, door edges, and door cups for $275.  There is a video on YouTube that really helped understand the installation process.

I took my car to the dealer for several TSB's and the service manager came out to inquire where I had the clear bra installed.  When I said I did it with the help of a friend, he said it was a very good job.  I admit that it is NOT a good job, but I am satisfied with the outcome.  I told the service manager not to look too closely because he would see a few air bubbles that I just could not get out.

The front bumper was very difficult to get perfect because of of all the curves and the Active Park Assist sensors. The other pieces were pretty easy to install.

I had actually installed the rear bumper protector a couple of weeks earlier - the flat surface you see when you open the trunk - and that was very easy to do.  So I figured I could do the clear bra too.  Overall I am happy with the results.

Where did you purchase the kit? I may look into doing more of my car.
