Fat Fusion Posted November 21, 2013 at 02:14 PM Report Share Posted November 21, 2013 at 02:14 PM It happened to me yesterday as well. I just increased the interval on the delay so there was more water on the windshield and that stopped it. Once it dries out I'll put some Rain-X on it which should do the trick. jgcec@yahoo.com Posted November 21, 2013 at 05:57 PM Author Report Share Posted November 21, 2013 at 05:57 PM i read that Rainx causes some problems with night vision, are there any negatives to RainX?
Russael Posted November 21, 2013 at 06:06 PM Report Share Posted November 21, 2013 at 06:06 PM I'm the devil's advocate for Rain-X. I love that stuff and no longer drive without it. Aquapel is similar to Rain-X but it lasts a lot longer. I have noticed no ill effects from a Rain-X application, including driving in the dark, so long as you don't leave a residue on the windshield. With a fresh application, I can usually go several weeks without ever using the window wipers, so long as I'm traveling at 35mph or greater. ChuckJ Posted November 23, 2013 at 01:12 PM Report Share Posted November 23, 2013 at 01:12 PM has anyone had squeaking windshield wipers in a light rain?and solutions?I had the same problem. I added Rain-x windshield washer solution which comes in a one gallon jar to the windshield washer tank and it solved the problem. TX NRG Posted November 24, 2013 at 12:46 AM Report Share Posted November 24, 2013 at 12:46 AM Rain-X, just like wax, is required on my vehicles. Wipers are silent. Just put on a thin coat and be sure to remove the excess after it dries so there are no blurry marks to affect night vision.
meyersnole Posted November 26, 2013 at 12:59 AM Report Share Posted November 26, 2013 at 12:59 AM Mine made noise at first but now are pretty quiet. Actually quite impressed that they are still working well 8 months later. Probably replace them with a set of Bosch Icons when its time to replace them. cwiley2566 Posted November 27, 2013 at 02:05 PM Report Share Posted November 27, 2013 at 02:05 PM I have a problem with that and looked into it last night. I found my problem is with the arm where it goes through the plastic piece under the hood. I ran the wipers in the garage when I got out of the car and its 100% not the wiper. At least for me. I tried pulling the plastic piece away and it stopped but once I let it go it started up again. Not much I can do about that. I will contact the dealer to have them fix it.
