markb Posted November 13, 2013 at 11:18 PM Report Share Posted November 13, 2013 at 11:18 PM I previously posted about my Sony stereo DSP setting not remembering to stay in Surround. A few days ago I lost all of my Address Book contacts (I have well over a hundred) except for 4 (strange isn't it, why not all of none?). Today my Climate Control system lost my 70 degree setting and came on at max cold (when it was in the 40's outside). Are other people having these problems or do I need to make an appointment with my dealer?
Russael Posted November 14, 2013 at 02:00 AM Report Share Posted November 14, 2013 at 02:00 AM I have not yet had the MFT system go senile on me yet. The surround sound setting is a bug that will revert back to stereo mode every time the car is powercycled, as you know. I was hoping they would've fixed that with the last MFT update but alas, it wasn't meant to be. Maybe the next one will have that fix. Question about your address book contacts - did it delete them from your phone or just from what the car had?

As mentioned above the DSP setting is a well known issue, but the rest sounds like the result of a master reset of MFT or an update. in any case, you should not just lose your address book or have your climate settings reset. Maybe your battery failed? Maybe a trip to the dealer is in order. http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/perform-master-reset-sync-myford-touch http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/software-updates-sync-myford-touch
steepdeep Posted November 14, 2013 at 03:11 AM Report Share Posted November 14, 2013 at 03:11 AM I noticed my system was upgraded and all setting went back to default. Surround sound has reverted on its own. Any major power issue causes the same. Hopefully fixes will come down the line.
markb Posted November 16, 2013 at 05:31 PM Author Report Share Posted November 16, 2013 at 05:31 PM Russael, The contacts in my phone were not affected, only those in the car were lost. Definitely not a system upgrade. Need to emphasize that these did NOT happen at the same time but I'll mention it to the dealer in case there is a power problem. No other evidence of one, however.
