Side view mirrors moving or resetting by themselves

I've had this experience several times in the four months I've had the car:

 

I'll get in the car, and for some reason, the side view mirrors will be way out of whack.  They're all the way down and in, like they reset automatically, or someone leaned on the buttons to move them all the way down and in.  (Nobody else has access to my car though.)

 

Has anyone else had this problem?

Double check you are SAVING the settings you want for the key you are using. There are three save settings and you have two keys. I have the #2 settings saved with the mirrors pointing down for parking next to a curb.

I only use one key; the mirror settings should be saved properly for that key.

I had this happen a few times after I purchased mine. I took the Energi to the dealer a few months back, they did an update and it corrected the issue.

I had this happen once after I washed the car.  I thought that I had moved the mirrors when I cleaned them, but they were WAY off and I'm usually more careful than that. Both mirrors were tiled so you could see the ground. This is normal for my wife;s Lexus -- when you put it in reverse, the mirrors tilt down, but Ford doesn't do that. (I've always found the Lexus mirror-tilt annoying and pointless since you have a backup camera.)  If it happens again. I'll take it in for a check.
