mergy Posted November 2, 2013 at 08:57 PM Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 at 08:57 PM Ford is ramping up the TV ads, but I am also seeing more and more Fusion Hybrids on the road and a few of them our Energis.
Dag Posted November 2, 2013 at 10:08 PM Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 at 10:08 PM All I'm seeing is the non hybrid.....
howardbc Posted November 2, 2013 at 10:11 PM Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 at 10:11 PM I agree, merge. I've seen one at the National Plugin Day event and met another owner at a Ford Tech Night. Almost feel lonely. So hard to explain what a plugin hybrid is to the average person. Such a great car. My Lifetime MPG is 71.9 and that includes a 5-day trip (500+ miles) without charging. It drives like a dream.
Russael Posted November 4, 2013 at 02:21 PM Report Share Posted November 4, 2013 at 02:21 PM I've seen a handful of Hybrid's rolling around, both C-MAX and Fusions... The only other Fusion Energi I've seen (aside ones parked at dealerships) was one the day before I took delivery of mine. I haven't seen one since. I have seen 2 C-MAX Energi's, one of which was a week ago Sunday. But I feel kinda special driving around in something so unique. :)
shaggy314 Posted November 4, 2013 at 08:48 PM Report Share Posted November 4, 2013 at 08:48 PM I've seen exactly 2 other Energi's besides mine. One of them was at the National Plugin day so really shouldn't be counted as that was a baited patch. The other was a grocery store where I was plugging in while I shopped. Props to HEB for putting it in at their new store. So far it is Open 3 times, ICE'd twice, and Tesla parked but not charging once (I parked in the spot next to him so I still got a charge). ChuckJ Posted November 6, 2013 at 01:01 PM Report Share Posted November 6, 2013 at 01:01 PM I've never seen one, but this is Texas. People focus on gas mileage only and calculate how many years it would take them to pay for the car. Really, I paid more for the Energi than I could have for the hybrid and get both better mileage and a smoother, quieter ride. I couldn't be happier! :) Chuck
CombsAuthor Posted November 7, 2013 at 04:04 AM Report Share Posted November 7, 2013 at 04:04 AM I've had the same experience as Chuck...have seen some Fusions, but only one Hybrid so far. One advantage of driving a rare car like the Fusion Energi is that it sure gets a lot of attention. We always are walking up to it to find people looking at it in parking lots...of course it could be the fifty coats of wax that it has that helps them to work on their tans ;-)
howardbc Posted November 7, 2013 at 04:14 AM Report Share Posted November 7, 2013 at 04:14 AM I haven't had one single person express any interest in my car except at the National Plugin Day event. I even had a custom license plate frame sign made that says "Plugin Hybrid." Nothing. Have had car since first week in April.
