beepyou Posted November 2, 2013 at 04:14 PM Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 at 04:14 PM We have had our fusion energi for about 1 month. The car is usually charged at home using 120V wall plug and occasionally charged outside using 240V chargers. Yesterday, I had a completely depleted battery and performed a full charge using a chargepointe 240V charger. The charging summary showed the car only accepted 6.63 kwh worth of electricity. This is strange because at the same charging station about 3 weeks ago, I had a charge that drew 7.1 kwh worth of battery. Is the battery dying already? Anyone else seeing the same thing? ChuckJ Posted November 2, 2013 at 06:09 PM Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 at 06:09 PM Did you use up all the hybrid battery also? That's when it usually takes 7 kwh. ChuckJ jeff_h
SD Diver Posted November 3, 2013 at 04:38 PM Report Share Posted November 3, 2013 at 04:38 PM (edited) Question - how do you tell the amount used for the charge? I ask since after draining the battery yesterday, coming home in hybrid mode until going to EV+ mode, it took only 1 hour, 4 minutes to charge using my home L2 charger. Don't see how that is possible... Edited November 3, 2013 at 04:47 PM by SD Diver
SD Diver Posted November 3, 2013 at 05:30 PM Report Share Posted November 3, 2013 at 05:30 PM Solved! Finished at 2:04 but with the time change, was reported as 1:04. System was not slart enough to account for this when it reported total charging time.
shaggy314 Posted November 4, 2013 at 08:58 PM Report Share Posted November 4, 2013 at 08:58 PM Also, you need to make sure you are comparing the same charge amounts. You have a 7.6 kwh of battery charge available at full, some of that is set aside for 'hybrid' mode. There is a float in that window so you when you pull in (or on MFM) see that amount of charge remaining.
