frbill Posted October 29, 2013 at 12:10 AM Report Share Posted October 29, 2013 at 12:10 AM I have gotten an accidental unplug message from MFM a number of times when I have unplugged the car to use it. I push the button and then remove the plug. Should I be doing something differently to avoid the accidental unplug message? jeff_h Posted October 29, 2013 at 12:51 AM Report Share Posted October 29, 2013 at 12:51 AM Nope, this is a bug in MFM, mentioned in a couple other threads here... strange thing is that I normally do not get the 'accidental unplug' message when interrupting a charge that is partially complete (holding down on handle first), but do get the message when letting it go to completion -- but again the same occurs for others on here, so if you have that set up as a text or email alert, less of a nuisance if you turn that off until the bug is fixed. FusionEnergi Posted October 29, 2013 at 12:56 AM Report Share Posted October 29, 2013 at 12:56 AM Go to MFM , the under my account go to notification settings. If I recall correctly uncheck the plug in reminder or charge complete, one of those should do it.
frbill Posted October 29, 2013 at 01:03 AM Author Report Share Posted October 29, 2013 at 01:03 AM I like getting the Charging complete messages. My main concern was if I was doing something wrong when I unplugged. It sounds like I am doing things the right way. Thanks for the feedback! frbill Posted October 29, 2013 at 02:13 AM Author Report Share Posted October 29, 2013 at 02:13 AM I may have discovered something. Apparently there is a delay after pushing the button to the time I stops charging. I have hit the button and then immediately removed the charger. Tonight while getting ready to update sync I hit the button and waited for a couple of seconds. The charge port LED's went dark, then I unplugged. I have not gotten an accidental unplug message from MFM so I think I now know what to do YAY :victory:
afvincent Posted October 30, 2013 at 04:26 PM Report Share Posted October 30, 2013 at 04:26 PM I think you're spot on, frbill. I "discovered" that trick yesterday and haven't received a message since.

shaggy314 Posted October 31, 2013 at 06:58 PM Report Share Posted October 31, 2013 at 06:58 PM (edited) It's ok, that trick will randomly stop working so that you'll stop trying it and live with the message. ;-) I've stood there for some time holding the button down and still gotten it, but it's no big deal. Russael Posted November 4, 2013 at 02:40 PM Report Share Posted November 4, 2013 at 02:40 PM I have the same issue as Shaggy... no matter how long I held the release button down for, I got the message, so I disabled it. I do hold it when preparing to unplug my car while it's preconditioning or after having remote started it. I'll hear the relay in the charger click off after a second or two and then I'll pull the cord from the car, but I always got the 'accidental unplug' message no matter what. However, I've only used my 240v Leviton charger... never tried it with the 120v one.
