howardbc Posted September 28, 2013 at 06:47 PM Report Share Posted September 28, 2013 at 06:47 PM Hi. I couldn't find this subject by doing a search, so I apologize if it's already there somewhere. (If it is, please let me know. Thanks.) Question: What percentage of the miles on your car have been generated by using the battery and through regenerative braking? In other words, NOT using the hybrid/gas mode. I was getting over 72% using just the battery and regenerative braking until I took that 5-day road trip with almost no charging, and now it's down to 69-70%, but I know I will build it back up again. I do almost all local street-driving, with a little highway driving in between. I am rarely in a hurry so don't have to usually fight rush-hour traffic or quick stops. 'Would love to know. Thanks. murphy Posted September 28, 2013 at 07:28 PM Report Share Posted September 28, 2013 at 07:28 PM I don't know the percentage but I've used 4 gallons of gasoline in the last 5 months in the car. The lawn mower has used about 20 gallons. Andre07

TX NRG Posted September 30, 2013 at 05:31 AM Report Share Posted September 30, 2013 at 05:31 AM About 83% for me. Total miles: 3089EV miles: 2554Regen miles:
howardbc Posted September 30, 2013 at 03:20 PM Author Report Share Posted September 30, 2013 at 03:20 PM Thank you, TX NRG. You are including the 608 regen miles as part of the total 2554 EV miles, right? Now that I look at it, of course, if one added the 608 to the 2554, that would make your total miles more than the 3089 on the odometer. So I just answered my own question. The 83% is terrific! FusionEnergi Posted October 2, 2013 at 04:42 PM Report Share Posted October 2, 2013 at 04:42 PM Our lifetime summary shows we are at 3628.8 total EV miles. We have gotten 569.5 Regen miles out of the Energi, and have 3635.1 miles on the odometer. I reset the lifetime summay when I picked up the vehicle, the odometer was at 4.7 miles at time of delivery. I have had the car six months and it is by far the best vehicle for us (considering the price range we were willing to spend). About a week ago, while I was taking a morning walk, I saw another Fusion Energi drive by that was the same color as ours. Looks like I may no longer be the only one here in Newport News, Virginia! howardbc Posted October 2, 2013 at 05:18 PM Author Report Share Posted October 2, 2013 at 05:18 PM Thank you, FusionEnergi, but I'm still trying to figure out the percentage for you. ('Sorry, I'm mathematically-challenged.) So, are you saying that you are getting close to 100% EV miles? Thanks.
