SD Diver Posted September 24, 2013 at 09:42 PM Report Share Posted September 24, 2013 at 09:42 PM OK - so I gave my Energi its first wash yesterday, followed by my first coat of Zaino. There I noticed that the driver's side door FUSION badging is falling off - the F and U are barely hanging on. It looks as if the tape is delaminating. I have my first trip to the dealer set for next Monday. Wondering if I should have this replaced or just have them remove the badging on both sides (including the Energi badge) - and just keep the FUSION, Titanium, and Energi in the rear. Any thoughts? murphy Posted September 24, 2013 at 10:05 PM Report Share Posted September 24, 2013 at 10:05 PM Emergency responders depend on the badging to know there is very high voltage in the car.Without the badging someone could get seriously hurt or killed. SD Diver Posted September 24, 2013 at 10:08 PM Author Report Share Posted September 24, 2013 at 10:08 PM Very good point Murphy - thanks. I guess I'll have them replace instead of strip.
mmmhmmmm Posted December 27, 2013 at 04:59 PM Report Share Posted December 27, 2013 at 04:59 PM I left the Energi badge on, but removed the FUSION and TITANIUM lettering.
Lucifer Posted December 29, 2013 at 01:31 AM Report Share Posted December 29, 2013 at 01:31 AM I removed all badging. Emergency responders, like those who choose to enlist in the military, are professionals who willingly assume the risks associated with their chosen jobs and are compensated accordingly. Take a look at the warnings we now have on electrical extension cords, hairdryers, or the sunvisor on your car. In my opinion, it is socially irresponsible to regulate the majority to attempt to protect a minority, that we allow our government to do so is even more egregious. Let Murphy and Darwin take care of the idiots among us. MorMadness
MorMadness Posted January 3, 2014 at 06:04 AM Report Share Posted January 3, 2014 at 06:04 AM I agree with Lucifer, Remove all!!! You really think that in an emergency they are going to look for and ENERGI badge on the side of the car? My car has all badges removed, smooth as a babies butt!! I don't need to show everyone what model I bought.
shaggy314 Posted January 5, 2014 at 06:31 PM Report Share Posted January 5, 2014 at 06:31 PM (edited) Since the interior of my car IS different, I'd rather take the chance that any responders DO take note, and make sure they are safe coming after my silly butt. First rule of responders is to make sure THEY are safe before coming after you. Then again, you cannot cover the charge port, so hopefully they see that. Towmod Posted January 14, 2014 at 08:42 PM Report Share Posted January 14, 2014 at 08:42 PM My door Fusion badges fell off twice and finally just had the dealer remove the door Fusion letters and leave the Enegi door badges... Looks much better. A lot less busy.

meyersnole Posted April 23, 2014 at 07:08 PM Report Share Posted April 23, 2014 at 07:08 PM I had the right hand door and back lettering start to loosen. Mainly the I and F. This time around I am having it taken care of as a warranty issue, if it happens again I think I will remove them all. Looks to be a very poor design. My dealer is working with me and has been nothing but helpful. It is a shame that the lettering comes off like it does (I was the third one there this month with the same issue). The part is already there and they are just waiting for me to come back by to put it on.

lonzo71 Posted June 10, 2015 at 06:45 PM Report Share Posted June 10, 2015 at 06:45 PM (edited) The F on the driver door came off awhile ago. So 2 weeks ago, I took the door badges off and last Friday, had the car detailed. I had them install the side window deflectors and the car looks good. Debating on getting the hood deflector from Ford. My service rep thinks I should go with black and not the chrome since the window deflectors are black..just not sure....
