mdNergi Posted September 4, 2013 at 08:18 PM Report Share Posted September 4, 2013 at 08:18 PM Just became the proud owner of a fully loaded 2013 Sterling Grey Titanium Energi :victory: Got it during the Labor Day Weekend sales. Still trying to figure out the electronics in the cockpit and various driver assistance features. The vibrating steering wheel freaked me out initially :) It will be a complete driving style change for me now. Previously it was "beat the clock" paradigm now it will be "beat the MPGe" ;) meyersnole

Eric4539 Posted September 4, 2013 at 09:25 PM Report Share Posted September 4, 2013 at 09:25 PM Congratulations and welcome to the forum. I have learned a lot from the members here and I'm sure you will too. You've already experienced the vibrating steering wheel - that'll teach you to stay in your lane! :) You can turn that off or decrease the intensity but I'm sure you've already read the owner's manual from cover to cover...... jeff_h Posted September 4, 2013 at 11:21 PM Report Share Posted September 4, 2013 at 11:21 PM Welcome from the other side of the river... did you get it from Koons? I keep an eye on a few of the chain dealers in our area and saw that a Gray one disappeared over the weekend... their count was 38, now 37. If the vibrating wheel freaked you out, just wait until the collision avoidance goes off and that red light on the top of your dash shines up onto the windshield, that will get your attention (as intended). DAVE Posted September 5, 2013 at 11:45 PM Report Share Posted September 5, 2013 at 11:45 PM Make sure you fill out your MD paperwork for rebate and HOV sticker. The MVA MD forms are back on line now and when the funds are gone that's it for 2013. Once filled out, a quick trip to Glen Burnie DMV HQ (up stairs) will get things rolling quickly. Got my rebate and HOV in a few weeks.
mdNergi Posted September 6, 2013 at 08:29 PM Author Report Share Posted September 6, 2013 at 08:29 PM Thanks everyone, this forum helped me a lot in deciding between the FF energi and Hybrid. Energi is the way to go as it is very cost competitive with respect to the Hybrids when one factors in the tax rebates. My research showed that while car dealers were willing to discount Energis by a ton (I got mine almost 9K below MSRP after rebates and 750 coupon + tax/tags), they we not budging on the 2013 FF Hybrid prices. jeff_h you are correct, I got mine from Koons. Nice detective work ;) Thanks DAVE for reminding about the MVA paperwork, will do it soon. My commute to work is 30 miles / round trip and I get almost 27-28 miles on pure EV (I'm sure 5-6 miles are regen). In a few weeks when EV+ gets enabled (after the system learns my driving patterns) maybe I can have 100% EV work commute. Then it will be "Bye Bye gas stations" !!!! Fat Fusion Posted October 25, 2013 at 01:13 AM Report Share Posted October 25, 2013 at 01:13 AM Congrats on the new Sterling ride! A funny thing happened with my car last night. I went to pick up my girlfriend at Ford (she dropped off her daughters small SUV thingy) and my car went EV+ as I got close to the dealer! It wasn't on the lot for more than a couple of days with no test drives and has been back there twice.
