I'm looking for the best deal on an energi and this is my 5th post to say Hi so I can reply to someone who helped me out!

Hello dlb92. There are quite a few discussions on deals in the Build/Order thread. http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/499-orderbuild-thread/?p=925

Some of the information is old, some still quite relavant. You will have to check current incentives, but I think that xplan is a great way to buy a Ford. I qualified through my work, but I understand many on here have joined the Mustang club to also qualify.

Best of luck.

Yeah the X-plan is ok but I went to check out a deal that they had advertised without the X-plan and it was almost the same (within $100) so either they were trying to swindle me or the X-plan isn't really that great.

You would think the X-plan would be on top of the deals they offer the general public, right?  I mean they get that money back from the manufacturer anyways.

With X-plan, you don't waste time haggling on price, you get the current rebates/incentives on top of that, and it limits your documentation fees from dealer to something like $100 (IIRC). Since this is the end of the 2013 model year (2014s are being built), dealer prices are discounted more, closer to the area of X-plan prices. You may be able to negotiate a slightly better deal.

I'm glad you finally got some action from our members, dlb92. The X-plan has been the best deal, with incentives off on top of the X-plan, so far. That may have changed a bit though since the 2014's will be out soon.

If you are willing to travel, get on the internet and start making offers...a dealer somewhere will bite. Be sure to let them know you have the X-plan available to you (if you do).

Count me in one of the people who finds negotiating the price of vehicles unpleasant. From all of the price conversations on the board, I do not regret going xplan. I plan to keep the car 6-8 years, so even if I could have gotten a few hundred dollars more, in the long run it simply would not be worth the stress (to me). My dealer did not try to play any games with me on extra paint protection, extended warranties, pre paid maint, etc... so the dealer experience was very good. And next year when the tax credit comes into play, the car will be very good value to me.

Now as mentioned, we are at the end of this model year, so you probably can do better on 2013 then the xplan if you don't want to wait for a 2014.  Either way, if you do decide to purchase the car I think you will join the rest of us realizing how nice of a car this really is. Best of luck!
