yellow05gt Posted July 29, 2013 at 04:31 AM Report Share Posted July 29, 2013 at 04:31 AM Does anyone else have a problem with using the Auto Start from the remote? I can start it through the app but have a heck of a time getting the remote to get it to work. Any one else with this problem?
murphy Posted July 29, 2013 at 10:02 AM Report Share Posted July 29, 2013 at 10:02 AM Are you using the procedure that is graphically depicted on the plastic tag that was attached to the IA key? Push the lock button. Then push the start button twice. Andre07
Russael Posted July 29, 2013 at 11:12 AM Report Share Posted July 29, 2013 at 11:12 AM Once you do that, you should see a single green blink from an indicator between your lock and unlock buttons that confirms the car received the command (it's a 2-way remote). I find that incredibly nice since I don't have to go SEE the car to know it's running. Andre07

murphy Posted July 30, 2013 at 09:04 AM Report Share Posted July 30, 2013 at 09:04 AM (edited) I didn't have anything on any of my keys, but that worked as described! Thanks gentlemen! If you have an Intelligent Access (IA) key there is a silver bar between the lock and unlock buttons.Look at the top of the silver bar for a tiny LED. You have to be looking at it when the car starts because the blink is very short. meyersnole Posted August 3, 2013 at 02:58 PM Report Share Posted August 3, 2013 at 02:58 PM I have always thought this was kind of a strange standard feature for an electric car. So I get the heating of the car in the winter, but unless the car is plugged in this seems like a huge waste of battery in the summer to pre cool. Even if I plan to run the air, I open all the windows first to let the excess heat out before starting to cool the car. I have also noticed that the AC works much better when the car is moving vs sitting in the parking lot.
