Depauwler Posted July 16, 2013 at 01:36 AM Report Share Posted July 16, 2013 at 01:36 AM Anyone know where we are on this? I looked at http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/taxphevb.shtmland since the 50% phase out is TBD we're still under the 200,000 unit limit. I really have no clue what the build rate is. timf Posted July 16, 2013 at 04:20 AM Report Share Posted July 16, 2013 at 04:20 AM (edited) I don't think the current number is much higher than 10,000 if even that. It will be a long time before Ford approaches phase out numbers. EDIT: I looked up the sales number, and it's 8025 through the end of June. Obviously this doesn't account for all vehicles manufactured, but it shouldn't be significantly higher. Depauwler Posted July 16, 2013 at 09:40 PM Author Report Share Posted July 16, 2013 at 09:40 PM Okay, thanks. I didn't think so, but my tax preparer expressed doubts. When did they start production? Sorry to those who had to wait. I practically bought on a whim and they had almost a dozen to choose from on the lot, so I don't know the history as well as those who were checking their email every few minutes hoping for more information. ;)
Taylorjd Posted July 22, 2013 at 07:25 PM Report Share Posted July 22, 2013 at 07:25 PM Not a tax expert, but the Fed Tax Credit should be what it was at the time of purchased it, not at the time you do your taxes. I bought my Fusion Energi in April 2013, so when I file in 2014, it should be a $3751 credit, no matter how many more are sold by then.
